My 2010 GX460 grinding Noise while pressing the gas on the freeway!!!
The Boise was coming from passenger side while the gas is pressed on the freeway. If I let it go then the noise subsides but again if gas is press then the grinding noise is there. I googled some stuff came out with CV axle boot possibly bad, leaking making grinding noise?? Anyone have an idea what else could it be? If not, anyone know how to efficiently check the axle if the boots are leaking grease?? Location and how to’s? Thanks in advance.

The CV boots on my 100 Series Land Cruiser were cracked and puked fluid all over the place. If you look under the vehicle and it has a leaking boot it will be noticeable. However, while you can check your boots, when mine were leaking I never had a grinding noise.
I had a wheel bearing go out in an old air cooled 911, and it drove as you described. There would be a grinding noise from the wheel area while on the gas and it would be less noisy while coasting. Checking the wheel bearing would involve jacking up the GX enough to get the noisey wheel off the ground, grabbing the wheel at 3 and 6, and pushing in with one hand while pulling outwards with the other.

It sounds more like wheel bearings than cv boots. If the boot was torn really bad and dirt got in there it could make some noise under acceleration and turning. You can jack up the front and see if there’s play in the wheel.
