I did see this pink wire (VIO) and it appears that is the only communication wire for AHB that goes to the BCM. AFAIK...at this point.

Just some additional pics I took of overhead console removed. As tecman stated here you want to remove it from windshield side first. I was trying to see what the wiring looked like up here for the AHB mod. In first pic wires to mirror are on left and rain sensor are to the right. Seems to be a roomy area up there. I'm gonna post pics in separate post as forum thought I uploaded more than 25 images to post.

This AHB mirror runs an external connector like the '10-'11 mirrors without Homelink directly on them. It has 12 pins on the mirror. The connector that attaches to wiring harness is 14 pin capable but only 12 used. Only 6 pins of the 10 pin capable connector are used on my stock mirror. The AHB camera wires go into the mirror housing.

Any '10-'11 owners confirm if their mirror connector is a 10 pin like mine or a 12 pin like this AHB mirror?

Looking through my new schematic book today. The main LIN connection for AHB appears to just be a single wire on pin 12 and it is purple/violet. I might need to meter this out. Interestingly it attaches to connector that is in the area of the left pillar/dash but connects between the Headlight Swivel ECU and the connection to the left hand headlight assembly. Preliminary investigation seems to show there are some unused connectors that have pins off the AHB rear view mirror.

Might see if I can source connectors for this and make a custom connector. The connector from vehicle to mirror is removable.

Interesting...I hope someone has a '10-11 with AHB. Do you know if they moved the Homelink buttons to the mirror on '10-11 with AHB too?

I don't think they had moved it yet.. all the parts sites I run my PN above through show the one I have as for '12+.

I'll have to ask one of the guys on GXOR... he has a Canadian '10 model with Driver Support Level gear.

Looks like 87810-0W460 is used for '10 & '11 AHB optioned models.

On your service manual, they should have the connector part number for repair and replacement purpose. Just as I did the smart entry door handle project, that's how I ordered connectors. Very much looking forward on your venture here, maybe another project in the future. Good luck!

Yeah... it has all the connectors in it as well. Very easy to traverse this wiring guide book from Lexus.

A local seller had this '13 grill for camera model for sale on CL so thought I would pick it up. The silver surround piece on my stock grill is actually in better shape and would swap that with mine. The grill does have one broken tab but that shouldn't be a big deal to address. Just gonna hang onto when I pursue front camera project. It was $50. New...grill is around $227 and the silver molding around grill is around $150.

Grill emblem is a 3rd party one I never sent back to eBay. I would need to modify the mount points for the grill emblem.

Ironically picked this camera up cheap after all these years. It is just the external case with a crack. I found a 3D parts printer in Russia that might be able to get me a new external case for it. Anyway... gonna see if I can bring this project back as I seemingly have correct Park Assist ECU. Just need to try making this ECU aware of it with two cameras. I have the OEM mirror cameras so need to do some ad-hoc wiring as a test for second camera and the "trigger" wire from steering wheel switch.

If all else fails I don't have much into this mod and will pursue what hzhao did.

He has that fully loaded 2010 from Canada.

I'm gonna look at mine this morning to see if there is any indication factory harness is there. Original Ru Lexus thread seemed to indicate it might be. I think it is a 4 pin connector. Stock camera for '10-'13 looks like this

Retrofitting front grill or new purchase might be needed for front camera.

A Driver side camera does show up in parts. They are selling as part of a complete mirror

I am looking forward to the results as well. I have a 2016 Premium GX460 and would like to use front and side cameras with the Park Assist ECU.

It was now a long time ago .. well 3 years or so :-) when this mod came up and have come to the realization I do not appear to have the Park Assist ECU that I thought I had. I do have the ECU for Park Assist but not the same. Regardless....found a cheap Park Assist ECU out of 2010 so will see where that takes me.

If anyone has any pics now or soon with a 10-19 model with surround cameras just curious of orientation of this ECU in the far right dash. Hoping the harnesses are there but it is always a gamble with parts like this.

Thank you!
