why do you doubt it will work because of a different fcc id?

The correct card key depends on the FCC ID of the main key. In my post my main key is HYQ14FBF, which is the same as some years of the UX. The card key for those UXs is HYQ14CBM. The car will only recognize a certain compatible frequency for keys, so you can think of them as pairs almost…if your main key has a certain FCC ID, the card key that will work with it has a certain FCC ID.

think about all the different devices we use today. 2.4 wifi with many FCC ID items, 5 also. even bluetooth.
how the car works is that theres a low current circuit waiting for some activation. when received, then the next circuit section activates, received the the card/chip ID, sends through bus to the controller for verification. if verified then a signal goes to another controller to unlock.
for any vehicle the mfg might only use one supplier for the chip, but there are always secondary options already vetted in case the mfg cant get supplied from the same supplier. these will have different FCC ID because they have different HW and certs, but will have the same protocol and freq. so a mfg might only have released one version and we see only one FCC ID, but unless you check the BOMs and then the part drawing and then supply chain records you wont know if theres only one FCC ID released by the mfg. but for sure there are many FCC IDs that will work, including portable access tools used by locksmiths, some shops, and crooks.

2021 GX 460 programming Successful
2021 GX 460 smart key programming successful. Used 89904-48X71 smart key. Did programming using techstream and a chinese cable from amazon. Cable came with a free techstream software. On the first try 89994-48142 did not work I guess because it workes on a different frequency.
