There is a tow hook(PN 51981-35010) made for the Mideast market for Prado/GX. It's mounted directly to the back of the frame.
I'm wondering if it's better than trailer hitch in terms of departure angle when towing off-roading, assuming one doesn't tow trailer.
It requires some cutting on the bumper cover but looks much more aggressive.
There should be existing holes for it in the frame.
Could be possible but I believe no one is making that...
Also if the spare tire is mounted in the center, it will be blocking the rear swinging door unless someone makes an arm swinging back and forth.
If that's the case then it would be better to drill some new holes and mount the arm to the left or right instead of the center.

Yeah it would have to swing out or pivot, its not gonna be a pretty mod, but if you need a full size spare/hi lift jack and your roof is full, not many options.
Not sure it would clear the bumper or even fit in the following receiver model you posted but the Hitch Skid Plate I picked up will offer you some extra bumper protection
Haha thanks. Honestly I'm only interested in the looking. Just think the hook looks aggressive and the hitch doesn't look so good. Never actually towed anything even once.
I always keep one of these in mine when not towing. Anything back there than nothing.. cheap insurance if someone rear ends you. I had a co-worker once rear end a truck with ball mount in the receiver. It went through his radiator and punched a hole through the block of the 4 cylinder in his Ford Ranger.
EDIT: I think some states prohibit having anything in the receiver when not towing... not where I live though.
