If you are adding a gauge

Menu -> Add Display -> Next -> Next-> PID -> Toyota, Lexus, Scion -> Engine and Electronic Controlled Transmission -> Engine Oil Temperature (C,F)

I wonder if OBD adapter you are using isn't pulling all all the PIDs?

Go into-> Settings -> Vehicle Editor -> View Networks (under Enhanced Network) --> Engine and Electronic Controlled Transmission

What shows up for supported parameters? I show 424

I find mine under PID, then the Toyota/Lexus/Scion section, then under the "Network A, Engine and Electronic Controlled Transmission" section and then select the "Engine Oil Temp"

Mine doesn't show how many parameters are included and the generic SAE doesnt work, weird... no worries... the transmission temps work and that's really all I wanted it for anyway to ensure I do the level check within the temp spec range...

That's strange....Did you "purchase" the Toyota/Lexus/Scion for you model year ?

You're 100% correct that it's pulling ATF #1 vs something else? While at idle, ATF #1 and #2 should be the same while in park....

Have you done your first drain yet ?

the trans temp both are working properly... idled and drove around while monitoring them and the TC lock up, no issues monitoring the trans variables, even degradation estimate.

Do you remember what number showed up on the thermal degradation estimate?

Arcad,

Are you getting thermal estimate on yours ? I know mine doesn't work for 2018 and 2019 OBD Fusion programs with iPad or iPhone

Neither here on my ‘12. PID doesn’t show up available.

Interesting it isn’t showing up for you, I believe it first showed up on 2014 models.

Another thing I noticed today is Savage Geese is releasing a 2020 GX 460 video soon... I’m on his Patreon. On underbody shot they appear to be using a different thermostatic switch that doesn’t have the bypass option. I heard about this on Tundra forums for 2019 models IIRC. I need to check out PNs for this part....chance 2019 460 is the same way.

1700ish I believe but will check when I do my drainage and fills. I think it increments each time the TC locks up, cause the number didn't change with start stops ( that i recall) but i think it did after the TC locked up. I will monitor and log it for my comparison runs to see when it actually occurs after I install the cooler.

Are you talking about the ATF Warmer thermostat bypass where you pin it for the fluid level check ?

My 2018 and 2019 are identical parts visually and pin the valve in for fluid level check

Correct. Good to know on 18 and 19. I need to see if 2020 PN changed.... warmer is still there but that pin valve did not appear to be present in video. It will probably go live in a few days.

EDIT: I looked closer at the unpublished 2020 SG video and the thermostatic bypass is still present.
