Default 2015 GX460 Purchase decision input

I am currently looking for a 2015 GX460. Trying to decide between on a Base model 2015 w 22k miles for $39k from a non lexus dealer The other one is a GX460 CPO 2015 for $41k with 31k miles. with premium package. Difference in trade in is about $1k less from the lexus dealer.

From a feature standpoint here is the '15 brochure if you want to compare

I think you're overpaying. Given the 3k lexus cash going on, you can get a base 2018 new for 45k. I bought a 61275 msrp premium sport for 50750. GX new they're taking 17% off msrp. The only problem is that is you're budget constrained then it would be tough to find a dealer who has a base model in stock. None of Atlanta dealers keep base models for some reason.

A lot depends on the area of the country too... one would never see some of the awesome prices I see in the south and southeast here in Washington state.

NYC has lower prices than other areas, i was looking at NJ dealerships because i got my 1st two cars from there and they were both in amazing conditions so their prices are at least 5k higher than NYC, i would assume there are so many Lexus cars coming in and out daily here that the prices are lower than in other places.

Yeah... that is solidly pre-refresh pricing in Pacific northwest. If it was that low here it would be a Carfax alarm bell ringing off the hook.

A '15 Luxury where I live at that mileage is about 41K via KBB.... (private party sale)

KBB where I live is either right on or low.

well yeah, dealer was asking 6k under what you say its for your area, 35 what they wanted. NYC is weird, the NJ dealer that i used to go to ( Edison ), they ask for almost 10K more for the same thing only because its NJ, but when i did a trade in with my 2010 RX, local dealer was giving me 16-17k while NJ dealers were giving me 24-25k, so its cheaper here, the downside is owning NYC driven car, its stop and go traffic all the time plus horrible road, so i would assume the wear and tear of the car after being driven here is higher than in other areas so maybe thats another reason why prices would be lower in comparison with places outside of the city, even Long Island dealers have much higher prices than locals.
