this relates to vehicle part swaps when theres a bit of setup in work on that job, sometimes easier to change two parts than setup & change one then setup & change the other a month later.
light bulbs also have higher beta than other parts.
beta is one parameter used when determining the preventative maintenance schedule for vehicles
here it sounds like the sensor wasnt even bad, a quick VM check could verify.

O2 Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2 Codes
2015 Lexus GX460 Luxury
I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out what the issue may be. Here is a breakdown on the codes:
- P0158
- P0607
I’ve tried multiple things:
- Changed O2 sensor with OEM Denso from Lexus.
- Cleaned intake, MAF and Sensor
- Checked for exhaust leaks (none found)
- Added a liquid moly catalytic exhaust cleaner
- Checked fuses
- Checked for damaged wires at the o2 sensor plug (no damage found)
I realize the P0607 code means ECU Performance error however, in reading more these SUVs throw this code in conjunction to emission codes.
The car runs flawlessly. There’s no rough idle, no hesitation, MPG is average and no misfires.
Not sure what else to check. I wiped the codes and the same codes appeared. It’s only Bank 2 Sensor 2 that fires the error.
Any help is highly appreciated.

2011 GX460 - o2 Sensor CEL P0137
Hey all,
Little bit of a back to my 2011 GX460 with ~165k on the odo -- recently had transmission work (full rebuild... ugh) and the vehicle was sitting in a shop yard for about a month waiting on parts. During this time, the transmission mechanic said the battery had died, so they jumped it. Transmission was repaired, but after I drove home the CEL popped back in, and a p0137 is showing up confirmed/pending/permanent.
Using OBD Fusion I saw Bank 1 Sensor 2 shows 0.00v. I took the connector off and cleaned it a bit and reseated, but still had the same result. Today I got a Denso replacement and swapped out the bank 1 downstream o2 sensor and reset the ECU, but still see the same 0.00v and the CEL came back in.
I checked voltage across new o2 sensor while the engine was running and saw a good .45v coming through. Also checked the ohms on the old sensor between pins 1 & 2 and it was 13.4, so likely wasn't bad.
Any thoughts on what else to check? I suppose the other side of the o2 sensor wiring harness needs to be checked, but not sure what to look for exactly. Should it have voltage on 2 of the pins with battery on and not running? It's such an annoying spot to try and test with the vehicle running because of the cats/exhaust heating up fairly quickly.
I'm also a little paranoid about the "jump" because I've had someone crank their vehicle while hooked up with cables to an old vehicle of mine and it ended up causing a bunch of electrical issues that resulted in a fried PCM -- I guess the cranking amps were considerably higher and that juice surged my system. But I wasn't there when they did it and not sure how to got the battery charged. I'd like to assume a mechanic shop would do it properly, but who knows.
Any feedback would be most appreciated!

Do you happen to have any documents that outline the physical path of the wiring harness that feeds the sensors? After some of my preliminary testing I'm starting to wonder if the harness was frayed or damaged at some point during the transmission rebuild. I suppose it could be plausible if the harness that carries the B1S2 sensor wire travels along the transmission/torque converter, and then up into the firewall.

Where is O2 sensor bank 2 sensor 2
Good day everyone,
I have a bad O2 sensor and its bank 2 sensor 2. Now I know these are down stream cats but when I am buying am I buying downstream right or left?
Its been confusing for me as I don't want to buy the wrong one. I have seen it state left and right while doing research online...so I am really confused. I know this group will know for sure

Have you considered replacing all 4? If one has gone the rest won't be too far behind. Mileage?

I've got a bad O2 Bank 2 Sensor 2. Replaced w/o issue. I noticed that my Bank 1 Sensor 2 has a different connector and is part no. DOX 0237. When I look it up online all the vendors show up from the EU and Australia. When I did a cross reference to Lexus/Toyota I got 14 different part numbers.
Are Bank 1 and Bank 2 Sensor 2s different? Can anyone confirm the correct part number for Bank 1 Sensor 2?
BTW, I'm in Laos but my GX460 is US spec.

GX460 02 sensor relay location
Hi - I could use some help to identify the O2 Sensor relay location. I've checked both fuse boxes and can't locate a sensor relay that is obviously identified as the O2 sensor relay. Many thanks in advance!
