Looking for a Luxury Mid-Size SUV

I hear what ya saying. carplay is overhyped. I don't miss it one bit when switching from x5 to gx. The things i miss is the comfort seat with 20 way adjustments and the handling. I see you own quite a few bikes, what's your favorite? It brings instant joy and a smile to my face every time I have a chance to ride my vfr 800.
ooops, I just realized I don’t have them listed in my sig. I have a 2015 BMW 1600GT, 2017 KTM Superduke GT and a 2012 1199 Panigale.

Thanks all! I appreciate the input. Bottom line is that I do want a true 4x4 with luxury features, and there aren't many left like that. I've always liked Land Rovers too, but I think the consensus there is just like Jeep. Better not own one outside of warranty unless you're ready to fork over some bucks....and for LR that's big bucks. So, I guess I'll at least wait for this fall and see what's on the horizon and make my decision then.
I do however like all the gadgets and tech, but its not a dealbreaker to not have the latest if everything else is great. Even a refreshed navigation would be a welcome upgrade in my opinion.

Why don't you buy 2014+ Pre-owned and keep it UNTIL the NEW GX or LX arrived? You said you like the Exterior and its rugged BOF style plus the reliability. 2014-2018 are very much the same. You can have a preowned 14-15 in the high $30s. 3 years from now you can still get $20s for it.

Each year, year after year, we are given the exact same answer: NO.
I do not have any faith that Lexus will ever redesign the GX. And if they ever do, it will be a step backwards (unibody, V6, turbos, 5 rows of seats, etc.)
If it ain't on the menu now, don't hold your breath that it will be in the future.

I'd check out the Armada. And yeah, it seems like Lexus requires you be a woman who is at least in her mid-40s to buy one of these things.
As others said above, buy what you want today, and trade it on what you decide you want in a few years. Or just keep driving what you've got since it's still running.
The unfortunate fact is that nobody knows what the hell is going on with Toyota body-on-frame trucks and SUVs. The good news is that you're not the only person waiting-- fans of the 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia, Landcruiser, LX are all in the same boat driving decade-old trucks. Supposedly the next-gen BOF vehicles are all going to share a new modular architecture which is "coming soon," which is Toyota speak for perhaps sometime in the next five to ten years maybe, but no guarantees.
And then, do you consider a refreshed model (e.g., the 2014 facelift) to be a *new* model GX? If we get something in 2019 that's what it will be, and not actually a new redesigned truck. It's possible we could see a redesign in 2020, but more likely beyond that at this point following the new Tundra/Sequoia and possibly another LX/Landcruiser.
