Thanks for your explanation. My 2015 GS350 has this BMS and thought I could install one on the side mirror...

Default Driver side mirror swinging too far.

Can anyone help please. My driver side mirror was hit. It was closing and opening fine until a few days ago. Now it closes but when it opens, it doesn't stop where it is supposed to and swings basically 180 degrees. There's audible click when it closes and opens as if there's a stopper that clicks. Any way to fix that or the entire assembly has to be replaced? Thanks in advance!

Most likely that you will have to replace it. Could be the mechanism of power folding had some crack and worked for few days than broken off. You can always take the mirror assembly off to exam. If your mirror cover (the body color part) has no damage, you can always to search the junk yard for a mirror, and switch the cover.

Default 2014 GX460 mirror glass problem

Need help with mirror glass issue. Dealer replaced 2 months ago and same problem again. Now they say I need dash harness, $9k due to sunroof drains blocked. Refused repair and poured water in sunroof track and water drains perfectly out both sides. Car is garaged always. No trees in garage. Both glasses did this at same time first go round and this time as well.

If not connected, would blind spot detection be inactive? Any idea what might be causing short? Was gonna test power mirror switch maybe?

One option is to connect one thing at a time to find out which on is the problem. BSM connector is separated from the heating.

Default Do I have to Replace The Whole Mirror?

This is the only broken part. The actual mirror is fine.

Update 2020-02-07: Thanks you, tecman, for links. The item fit perfectly and it works great!

Things that I did different than the video in the previous other link.

1.) I couldn't pull the heated mirror wires. When I tried to pull it with a long nose plier, the black glue starts peeling of so I just left it on and worked around it.

2.) The video on the other link shows to pull the blank front plastic (RX video). But for the GX, I pulled the white/chrome back plastic, using flat heads to un-hook the clips. It's probably in the other written instruction but I missed it. I think I only broke one plastic tab, but it doesn't seems like its a big deal. It's the tab on the end of the chrome plastic.

But everything else is pretty easy. $100 OOP + Experience! vs $1200 (dealer cost).

Only minor scratches but I can replace it if I want to but just buying the parts!

Final:

Same blinker lens on all 460s, you just have the sport chrome added.

Default Disconnecting folding mirror

I tried searching but wasn't able to find exactly what I'm looking for. I have a 2013 GX460, and the passenger side mirror repeatedly clicks upon startup for ~15 seconds - I think a gear got stripped in the folding mechanism. It actually folds in ok, but when it folds out it thinks it's not at the 'out' position and keeps clicking. I actually don't care about the folding as I never use it, and replacing the whole thing costs $1200+ from what I've read. I think as long as I disconnect power to the folding motor, I can 'fix' this issue. My question is, does anyone have a wiring diagram of which wire to disconnect and how to access? I think there's 3 possible locations, one being by the folding/unfolding button on the left side of the dash, one being in the door, and one being on the mirror. Which would be easiest to access? I found this youtube clip for a sequoia, not sure if it works on the GX also. Hope someone has some insights

The mirrors don't fold in by default unless you have a OBD plug in installed. Check if you have this plug in installed under the steering wheel.
