You'd probably want to look at online wrecking yards for mirror piece alone. Some may be willing to part out that mirror piece if they have a unit damaged otherwise.

AFAIK...not possible to buy new mirror alone. You would need the full assembly.

I just had to replace a power folding mirror with BSM. It was around $800 from the dealer and about $500-600 online. The pre-painted outside cover was the cheap part, I believe around $60 so if youre going to replace the assembly, I'd definitely just replace that too at the same time.

Default Side mirror reverse tilt

I try to adjust the side mirror tilt while it's in reverse. My driver side mirror always tilts too low for my liking. It never saves the settings for the next time it is in reverse. I looked in the customize setting in techstream and could not find anything.

Does the GX have this feature to adjust the tilt setting or does it only tilt downwards?

1st- your Left/Right mirror switch MUST BE either Left or Right (not neutral) position
2nd - When you are in Reverse the mirrors will be tilted down. Use the Up/Down Left/Right pad to adjust to your liking.

I believe the settings are save based on your Key Fob.
Good luck.

Yes, the mirrors currently tilt downwards. I cannot adjust and save the mirrors to my liking. They mirror switch is on the "L" position. Are you able to adjust your mirrors to your preference?

I don't believe the setting can be saved. The "tilt down" feature has a fixed value (or angle) that is relative to your normal mirror setting. In most of cases, the tilt down future will let you see a general area of both rear conner of the car for safe backing up. It is meant to be an "assistant" for your viewing not the primary reference.

I was thinking the same after I couldn't find any settings in Techstream.
I found the excerpt from the owners manual PDF.

Yes, mine does exactly what the OM said.

Can yours do that also?

It only tilts downwards in reverse. I adjust the tilt position while in reverse, but after going to Park or Drive and then back to reverse the newly saved position does not work.

I experienced the same thing. Newly adjusted position didn't save. This is on a 2010.

Thanks for the reply. Has anyone else tried to save the reverse mirror adjustment?

I think mine works - it saves the last adjusted positions. Mine is a 2013

Default Driver Side Rearview Mirror

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting for an issue which I can't seem to find any resources. So I removed the driver side rearview mirror of my 2014 GX460 to replace the turn signal light. It was pretty difficult, but I eventually was able to remove the mirror and replace the light. The problem for me was putting the mirror back in place. I aligned the 4 white plastics rods in their place and applied great pressure, but its not clicking back in. Very frustrating and I don't want to break the mirror in the process.
I'd appreciate if someone can share any insights they have. I need to bring the car in this weekend for an oil change, so may ask the dealer to help if I can't figure it out by then, though I'm sure they probably charge me.
Thank you.
