Default Chrome Delete on 2020

Anyone done this yet? Can't find any pictures anywhere. I have a white one and want to black out the chrome but need to decide if only doing the chrome or the grill and other non chrome pieces grey and charcoal pieces. Also have the sport package that has the grey trim piece on front and back so am trying to avoid have 400 different colors (blacked out chrome, charcoal grill, grey sport package pieces and gray roof pieces). Trying to visualize the different options is driving me crazy!!

I have the 2019 sport, blacked out all the chrome as well as the sport trim pieces. I know it's a different front grill, but gives you an idea at least.

@dustinst22 yours looks very similar to mine. you must have great taste. i just need to add some light bars and the cbi winch bumper from the GXOR concept. I too had the chrome blacked out, and i swapped out the tail lights for the 2013 gx red taillights and sold my silver ones ebay for a few bucks less than i paid for the new 2013 ones.

That looks great! Is it a vinyl wrap or some other method for black out?

Combination of vinyl wrap and plastidip on some areas.

Got different wheels on recently (GXOR Alphacommands. About to hack the bumpers with 4X4labs and CBI.

Looks really good. Curious how they did the grill and how much it cost? I tried to get mine done but they ran into problems. Dealer wanted 8500 to black out all chrome and the grill and I laughed out loud.

Did a chrome delete myself. First time using vinyl. Looks good. By the end of it I got pretty good at it. There are some areas that need to be redone but can only tell when you’re right up on it. Gonna wait for it to start to fail then redone those portions. I used the blackout smoke vinyl from Rvinyl.com and a heat gun with vinyl wrap kit I got from Amazon. I still have the front grille area, headlights, back GX 460 emblem, and roof rack bars to wrap.

I love the blacked out look on the nebula pearl gray. After this project is finished I’ll be getting the rims powder coated black and some bigger fatter tires. Love all the pictures of the gx’s chrome deleted.

this is my very first post on the forums
and my first Lexus GX 460. Got a certified pre owned a few months ago and absolutely love it.

Post 22 GX 460 Chrome Delete Info Needed

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any info on the best method to blackout all exterior chrome parts on a 20 GX? I've seen some body color door handles on Amazon so I'm good there. As for the body (grill, trunk, etc...) I'm not sure if I should have them wrapped in a darker color, paint them, or just order darker parts through Lexus. I took a look at the chrome parts for the Blackline and don't like that texture. I know it's picky but I have a white so blacking out the chrome will look really good IMO.

Thanks!
