I have a 14" luxury package and mine nav is restart three times since March this year, and i took the truck to Lexus dealer and they said they did the software update and got it restart again last week.

I guess restart on the navigation is pretty common for 2-3 times per year. Just wondering since I never had this issue with my previous Lexus except for the GX460.

It appears that there is a field for an actual photo to correspond to contacts that are imported via Bluetooth. If I have photos for contacts on my iPhone, how would I configure them to also show on the GX?

Does anyone know if you can get the navi in the base model? Do you need to get the premium model to get navi,then you get wood trim on stearing plus other upgrades? Thanks

Yes, you can get Navigation with Base model. I have 17 Base with Navi plus other options.
However, Base models are rare to come by (at least in Northern Cali) so I had dealer to order one for me and then I waited for a month to get it delivered.

It's rare to find a GX without the Navi. It is an option on the base, but it should be standard on a Luxury brand.

On the Lexus Navigation site WHAT To ORDER page (www.lexusnavigation.com/what-to-order/) 2014 model is missing, they have GX 460 2010-2013 as Generation 6 and 2015-2017 as Gen 8. Email them twice, they still not correct this page.
2014 has micro SD card, it can’t be Gen 7, because it is USB one.
Does anyone have latest card for 2014 to confirm part # 86271-78013?
Also what is part ## 86271-78011 for?

Does anyone have luck with pre-owned map cards from eBay?
Someone claims that you can reused card and they are locked to VIN, but looks like some eBay sellers has good feedback for those cards.

The 2014 needs to be flashed to my knowledge, meaning you cant use the SD card. Perhaps someone can provide verification of that?

Mine has micro SD card 86271-60320 and it is 21-33-28 (2013-07-1) map version.

According Lexus's "HOW TO INSTALL UPDATE" page 2014 GX 460 is Gen 8 Micro SD and to update it needs just to switch cards.

Got card p/n 86271-78011 on eBay. Does not work.

Once that SD card is inserted into a vehicle, it's "married" to that car. So getting a used SD card off of Ebay will not work. The PT219 part number is what the dealer would order. Although I'm pretty sure it would be PT219-GEN08-16, the same as the 2015-2017 GX.

I have a 2016 GX and the backup camera does not auto dim. So it is blindingly bright at night? Does anybody else have this issue?
