What model year?
Does your GX have nav? Might need a '14+ owner to chime in. FSM references it for navigation.
I was going to look up some further info on Lexus navigation but they let their domain expire.

Navigagion System Updates
I have been told by salesman that no cost ...monthly fees....for Nav system. But there is a charge to update maps? I am looking at 2014....and want to use Nav system on regular basis, how often and how much does it cost to update the Nav.? I assume you go into the dealer and they download software update? I would think I should ask the dealer to update as part of the deal? Probably cost dealer little, but maybe costly for customer?

Nav question.
Has anyone figured out how to have a passenger program a destination into the Nav. system while the vehicle is in motion?
I must be thick cause I can't figure out how to do it.
Before anyone goes nutso, I understand that Lexus is trying to make sure that the driver doesn't dink with the system while underway but come on passengers should be able to work the system without having to park.....

Use the voice assistant as either the driver or passenger. It will work fine while vehicle is in motion.

If you have a 2014 or newer use Lexus App Suite. It's free except for data plan minutes.
It vastly improves the voice recognition (it uses your phone rather than the GX), it is as
up to date as your phone and your passenger could type into the phone and then reconnect
to transfer. We usually just enter into the phone prior to driving and then transfer.

Update satellite radio channel list
Recently SiriusXM updated their channels however the channel list in my 2017 Lexus GX 460 hasn’t updated to reflect the new channel list. I tried sending a refresh signal but that didn’t do it.
Does anyone know how to update/refresh the channel list?

You have an additional option to those listed above.
If your intended destination is logged in the NAV system as a previous destination, you can select it while the truck is in motion.
