@GX460Dude looking real good with the new set up! More pictures please. I'm looking to do the same color combo with my yet to be delivered GX although I already have the 265/70 Wildpeaks!

You've been busy!
Thanks for the kind words dude! The 265/65R17 Wildpeaks I had were actually "XL" rated. Since then, I have switched them out for 265/70R17 "SL" rated Wildpeaks with new wheels. My Tacoma needed new tires, so I figured this would be a good opportunity to make the switch. The new wheels are 17x9 +1 Offset Fuel Shok in Bronze.
As for the ratings between the two, they're pretty similar in MPG's ratings. I get horrible MPG as it stands anyhow. I'll get 300-310 miles per tank loaded down with 4-5 people along with our weekend getaway gear up top and in the cargo area. I just took a trip to Big Bear and back on the new set up and it was similar in efficiency(or deficiency depending on how you look at it..LOL) . The new set up "feels' heavier for sure. This probably robs the MPG ratings just slightly. The Method MR305/2656517 combo weighed a tad over 70 pounds. The Fuel Shock/2657017 weighs in around 72 pounds. So yeah, it is heavier and a taller tire to turn. I also had to trim and heat up certain areas of the front fender liners to prevent the rubbing. Eventually when my warranty runs out, I'll most likely go with 285's and a King or Icon up all the way around. One things for sure, this new set up looks waaayyy better imo.
Side note: My Tacoma looks way better with the Methods versus the Pro Comp 7032's I had before.
Here a couple of pics...Hope this helps!

Not sure if it was with 265/65's or 70's, getting 300-310 is pretty good. I mean, if that took 16-17 gallons to fill back up, you're getting @18mpg, which is pretty respectable for a 5300# truck, v8, loaded down, AT tread, etc... Was that on the flats or mixed with mountain driving? On the hwy were you going 70-80mph?
Other fuels wheels are soo heavy. Those Fuel shok's are pretty light in comparison. Excellent choice!

Love the bronze. Can't wait to see more pics in the wild like you have with the Methods. I'm a big fan of the bronze wheel against the blizzard/starfire pearl (gx470.460). I envisioned the bronze Ray10 by SCS on mine, similar to your black Method 305's. Tacoma looks more bling.

It was mostly highway doing 70-75mph.. with a few inclines thrown in...it averaged around 16mpg loaded down...lol. I'm going to be taking another road trip up to NorCal in a couple weeks. I'm going to log some of the MPG readings this trip. It'll be a solo trip with just my fishing gear and bicycle. So it'll be a much lighter load. We'll see how it goes.
