I didn't realize this would cause some controversy. I've seen a few Acura's re-badge and some Lexus 100 and 150 series re-badge as well. I understand it's a "different strokes for different folks" type of scenario.

Nickk6,
I emailed the guy who makes the aluminum "TEQ" badges and am waiting to hear back.

I do plan to remove the GX460 badge and either wrap or dip the emblems to make them less flashy. That might just keep me satisfied for the time being.

I've got the logo on CAD, I wonder if I should see how much it is to machine it.

I’m Interested to see what the prices are. Not sure if others are interested so it might not be a large number run.

Haha loving this thread.

Personally one of the things I love of the GX is how under the radar it flies. Here is this truck that looks sophisticated enough to go out on Friday night on but has more capability than most 4x4's, if not top 5.

As far as the "land cruiser" badging... everyone in the world outside of the US/Canada knows you get a Prado if you couldn't afford the Land Cruiser - I'm not here to sugar coat it. The GX for me offers a great in between and I get the whole wanting to be different here in the US, but realistically if you are from another country the "Prado" doesn't hold the same street cred.

All that being said, would be cool to see how it looks... so post your pics when you have them!

Exactly...
If you can’t find a Prado logo, maybe you can just get a V6 logo...

Did he ever get back to you? I'm curious too.

I'm also wondering if anyone knows if there's a Toyota badge that can directly (or pretty close) be swapped onto the front grill of a 10-13' GX?

I know it may seem strange to put on Toyota badges on my newly acquired GX but I'm thinking of doing it for a couple reasons. First, I've had a friend get his Mercedes keyed by some hillbillies while he was camping because it was a luxury SUV. We also have a lot window break-ins at the local trailheads and the more pricey looking vehicles are often targeted. It's common for me to park my vehicle at a trailhead for two or three days while on a backpacking trip. I think if people see it as a "lowly" Toyota there's less of a chance of it being messed with. The other reason is that we have some drama at work as far as salaries go and we get the petty coworkers complaining to management when they see coworkers in what they perceive as expensive cars (of course they don't bat an eye at someone in a $60k Tahoe but they whine when they see a BMW in the parking lot even though it's used and cost $8k). I'd rather just avoid that if I can

You might have to experiment on that one.
