I can't speak for the 2018 but a good thing to do is check the TSBs for any vehicle you're looking to purchase to get an idea of issues you might run into. Since the car is a year old, the TSBs won't cover everything but it's good general guidance.

I have a 2017 with around 19k on it and haven't had any major issues with it so far. Then again I would hope a vehicle with 19k on the clock wouldn't.

thanks for all the replies.

Well, I pulled the trigger last night at 11 pm, it was little bit of a mission. But finally I am an owner of a 2018 GX460 Premium white with black interior. Love it so far. Again thanks all for all your inputs for purchasing this vehicle.

How much did you end up paying for it? I got one GX in March.. but am almost ready to get another in next few weeks.

It was 499 including tax with 1000 down on a 57k vehicle (which used to be 60K). The RV and the MF isn't great this month. Maybe July or August might be better but who knows they always change.

that sounds like a great deal. What’s the RV on your truck?

Sorry I don't really know the numbers for a lease.. if I'm buying this for cash, what would be the likely price?

That seems to be in line with what I paid in March (in Atlanta which is very competitive market). I would have loved to save some extra due to the decrease in base price of 2k.

I believe the difference in the invoice is only about 1000 even though the msrp is 2000 difference. I could have waited but they gave me 3000 over for my other lease vehicle which is about 1000 over other dealership.

believe it or not, March could be the best time to buy a toyota/lexus since that’s when their yearly quota ends. I would think that RV could only go lower since the vehicle is aging. Unless you go with a 2019 model.

Default No problems here

I have a 2012 and it’s got 157,000. It had 154,000 when I purchased. No major services in carfax or Lexus database.

I just had a transmission drain/fill and replaced spark plugs. Runs great.

I believe there was a diagram showing problem areas with a color code. 2012 looked like the best year aside from 2015. But that chart didn’t have anything after 16 I believe.

After driving the car for few days everything seems to be fine and it is super smooth. I did hear some high pitch wind noise on the highway. It almost sounds like an old school radio tuning static or wind sipping through a crack.
