Default Coolant leak from side of radiator

I'm getting a small leaking coming from I think the seam in the area (as pointed out in the pic) on my 2016 gx460. It was a pain trying to pin point this but I put my finger in that area (after the engine cooled down) and def verified it was a small drip of coolant coming from there. Replaced the clamp for the upper hose above it and that's sealed tight. So it's not dripping down from above. Any suggestions on fixing this or do I need to replace the radiator?

... common ... leaking seal between the radiator core and the plastic end tank. Almost guaranteed once passing 110,000-odd miles. Always appears to be the upper radiator hose connection ... but ...

Ah thanks, mine is only just hitting 90k but been in the Vegas desert heat for past 2 years. Is the remedy to replace the entire radiator?

Hey all,
When you did the replacement, did you replace/add back in the Radiator to Support seals? I forgot to order them and trying to figure out if its worth waiting multiple days to get them or if I should just proceed without (I have the old radiator out and am ready to install the new one).

For those running into the same issue, I ended up going to Home Depot and getting Rubber Foam self-stick weatherseal (in my case made by Frost King). I got 1-1/4" wide and 7/16" thick. I cut it down to with and length after measuring what was on the old radiator.

I am replacing the radiator today. I'm about 80% done. About 5 hours at a very leisurely pace, lots of breaks.

I tried to order a radiator directly from lexus and order was cancelled. I tried to source a denso from a source I trusted that would come quickly and no luck.

I just ended up with a no name brand from rockauto.com with upper and lower hoses for $225 shipped to my door. Saved myself $1000+ and plan to also do the coolant valley repair myself.

There is a Koyorad option now as well.

Default Radiator DIY

If you have a mechanical mind, this is totally a DIY. I went ahead and did the water pump, serpentine, thermostat and hoses at the same time as the radiator. These were all oem parts except the water pump, which is aisin, which was the same pump with Toyota scratched off of the front of the pump. The only annoying parts were the removing the radiator(bumper had to come off) and needed the wife to hold the tensioner while the serpentine went back on. Good luck and hope this provides some insight.

On the 10-13 apparently you do not need to remove bumper. I'll have to see if other reports same with '14+

Well add me to the list of radiator replacements. Found a small leak at bottom driver's site corner of radiator area that turned out to be a crack. Small enough that no coolant leaked while parked, however under pressure and temp, there was coolant leaking at that bottom corner. My local indy replaced the radiator with the Koyorad version and mentioned that he didn't have to remove the front grill. I'm at 105k miles, and already had the water pump replaced at 85k. Thinking my next service items will be spark plugs and EGR valve.

Looks like some sort of coolant leak. Will post when I hear back from dealer what they think it is and what their cost will be to fix.

Cracked Radiator. I will follow up with price when I pick it up. Fortunately it is covered by the extended Lexus warranty I added on top of the CPO. I kinda figured since my GX, even though CPO, was about 6.5 yo when I got it so that the extend warranty on top of the CPO would come in handy when I got this deep into the age of the truck, even though I only have had it for 4 years.
