Worth Buying a New GX Right Now?

I’m driving a GLS450 right now and it’s ride and handling is very unimpressive. It feels like a car on stilts and gets tossed around a lot. The GXs suspension is so much better - rides smoother takes bumps better, and feels like a solid tank on the freeway. I’m sure the ml class is similar. It’s a crossover and rides like one. I love the practicality of the GX.
Now new BMW and Mercedes only come with RFT. Audi still uses regular tires. I believe GLS450 has V6 biturbo? I don't like under powered cars.

Other than an aluminum block on the 5.7 and iron on the 4.6 I haven't seen a MPG post out there that shows the 5.7 gets better mileage than a 4.6. Obviously different torque and HP ratings and frankly haven't run any mathematical comparisons to HP/Weight. In my surfing I've never seen a 3UR-FE (5.7L) get better mileage than a 1UR-FE (4.6L)
I'm open to find this isn't the case though.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong... love the LX 570 but haven't seen anything to convince me it is more miserly on fuel than a GX 460.

I don't dispute the ML 550 is probably a great car but is it a reliable long-term purchase? I mean in the 150K+ mile range. IMO: Overall... an individuals vehicle reliability can't really be tabulated until vehicle has reached 100K miles or 5 years.

Even with new 8 speed transmission many LX owners are averagkng about 14-15 mog and tundra owners with 6 speed tranmission are averaging highest 14 mpg. My GX averages anywhere feom 16-18 mpg
Back to the topic, GX drives so much better than a RX. It doesn’t handle bad either, it just has slower initial response but there is no body roll. It actually has less body roll than my 2015 sienna van. But it’s just so much smoother and refine than any cross overs.
Btw, rx’ cargo space and 3rd row is a joke. GX just has more usuful space than rx or any other 3rd row cross over. None of the cross over can’t place a full size stroller upright.

You are not confusing 4.6 with 4.7 (was also available in a Tundra but totally different and indeed older engine) by any chance are you?

Your claim that LX V8 is a newer design is simply false. Both engines were introduced in 2007 as part of the UR engine family to replace the UZ. Hence why 4.6 and 5.7 engines are identical feature wise save for displacement. Per Toyota’s own web site 4.6L Tundra gets 15/19/16 MPG while 5.7 gets 13/18/15 - where is your better MPG for 5.7? Think about it - how would the same engine with a larger displacement result in a better MPG? This makes no sense. I actually went through all the trouble, despite all the misinformation you provided, and the first Tundra forum post says 4.6 gets 2MPG better compared to 5.7, same as per Toyota own website: http://www.tundratalk.net/forums/tun...17-models.html
