Default Buying a 2015 GX460- Anything I should know??

We are upgrading from a 2011 RX350 to a 2015 GX460 Luxury 4x4 white with 26k miles. I have been reading through this forum and just wanted to make sure there are no major issues that we are unaware of. Our biggest eye opener was the gas mileage. I thought it would be better than 15/20. We also test drove a 2015 X5 V8 turbo (445hp) and it still got 15/22. Other than that everything looks good. Gives us more room and storage. The rear door opens odd but with the window opening that helps with groceries/shopping so it's not that big of a deal. Thanks for any help.

Having just bought one, I can offer some feedback. I am NOT happy with the side opening rear door. I neglected to even think about it, but last weekend I hooked up my boat. Door will only open 1/4 of the way, making it difficult to get things in and out of the rear cargo space. Only other complaint is a lack of storage in the back. I need a place to keep stuff (like the receiver hitch) and the only option for larger/bulkier items in the jack storage on the left side. Other than that, completely happy with the truck! We just came out of a 2016 Yukon XL so the GX feels like a sports car to me

Yes, the lack of storage is frustrating. I ended up using a milk crate to hold stuff in the back.

I'm also in the market for 2014-2015 GX Luxury. Since you are getting 2015 model, it should still be under 4yr/50k basic warranty and 6yr/70k powertrain warranty, so you should still be good even if something comes up afterwards. Do you mind sharing how much is your 2015 Luxury model coming up to?

I notice many forget about the powertrain warranty when talking about coverage. It covered my leaking water pump last year on my '12. Certainly DYI would have been far cheaper but at dealer the cost was around $1k.
