Default New to the GX family! 2012 GX

its been a long journey in August, but I finally decided on a GX! I was in the market to lease a GX Premium w/ sport package, and got 2 of the 3 dealers below 615 a month for a 36/12. I have never lease a car, and it just didn’t feel right to not have anything at the end of the lease (grew up on family that drive cars into the ground, literally).

I started looking at used and found a gem. 2012, fully loaded premium, 80k miles. Was able to get price at 23k. Hopefully the reliability of the GX as discussed in this forum, will show that it was a good decision to buy. I have a little one and one more on the way, so the car is going to be beaten up. Hopefully the air suspension will hold out until 150k miles! Thanks for all of the insights form the forum. For those looking to buy there next GX, there are some great deals down here in Texas. I got one dealer to 47k for the sports package, (59.3k MSRP).

Looks identical to mine. Watch the tire pressure as the chrome rims can cause a slow leak. If that happens, Discount Tire can clean the inner lip and they will be good for awhile. Make sure you get the airbag recall done if you haven't already. At 80k, you're about ready for front and rear diff fluid change as well as the TC, all three of which are easy and covered in this forum. The best thing you can do for your car is the F-Sport grill... it really looks at home on the Tungsten Pearl.

We've had ours for about a year now and we love it. Fun to drive, easy to work on, and decent enough gas mileage. Enjoy yours in good health!

Thanks for the recs! Will get a quote on the Front and Rear diff change as well as the transfer case fluid change. I will also keep an eye on the tire pressure.

The grill is a definite must, ordering now. Do you have any insights on floor mats? I usually put in weather tech on vehicles, but I don’t want the plastic look to take over as this car is luxurious.

I found some f-sport carpet mats on e-bay, just don’t know what else is out there.

I got a set of the F-sport mats for $30 on eBay and have been running them for a year now. I don't run Weather Techs because I don't feel that they are necessary in Houston.
Another cheap and easy upgrade is the Morimoto LED fog lights. Direct replacement, and a great upgrade, highly recommend them. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/as...to-xb-led.html
And if you need any OEM parts, the F-sport grill, filters, etc, make sure you check out https://www.ebay.com/str/belllexusnorthscottsdale
