Park Assist comes on when snowing?
A couple times in the last month or two, my park assist comes on for apparently no reason. I am stopped at a light, with no one in front of me, and it starts beeping rapidly as if someone were almost touching the front of the car.
Last night I noticed it again, this time it was snowing somewhat. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, it happens because the sensors are a bit too sensitive. There was a time when the alarm went off non-stop, and sure enough the whole front bumper was covered with snow. As with the squeaky brakes, it just means they're dirty.

squeaky brakes could be worn pads (i doubt this early), or not enough grease in shims and along caliper where it meets pad.

The trick is to keep the sensors clear of snow- I know that is sometimes a bit tricky in a snowstorm. I have an RX with the sensors and I pass the snow brush over the sensors prior to driving off and then there is no more issues unless there is a heavy build up while driving!

i usually dont ask such a dumb question, but i cant find answer on lexus website and i could of sworn that the side view mirrors point down when going in reverse. My mirrors arent pointing down in reverse, are they not supposed to this? I just replaced the blind spot mirrors and noticed this today

Not a dumb questioned I figured it out by accident. You have to choose either left or right on the mirror adjust button for some reason it can't be in the middle then mirrors will point down in reverse

Intuitive Parking Assist (IPA) - best practice?
Silly question for the team that popped into my head after I jumped into my buddy's LS460 the other day . . . His IPA is a stand-alone button on the dash that he has constantly engaged and a little green light is lit on the button (good); for the GX (as you know), when the IPA is on, we have an indicator in the instrument cluster (bad).
The question that occurred to me, is how many of you (like my buddy), leaves the IPA on all the time?
At first, I didn't like the idea because I didn't like the P" indicator constantly on (distracting), but since it is green like the "ECO" indicator, I guess it doesn't really bug me that much. On my past car, when I shifted to reverse, the sensors turned on automatically (which I liked) and the reality is, since I have to turn the IPA on manually now in the GX, I never turn it on. Haven't really needed anyway . . .
Should I just leave it on all the time? What do you do? Thanks! KH
