Interesting. Judging from the product photo, the existing spring cables for the inside door handle will have to be replaced with a much longer ones in order to be able to connected to the new one (since it seems locked almost near the latch opening area).

Not sure how well these specific versions will retrofit but was interesting to see the option out there. Not sure of exact price as it states min 1 for order but price range of $75-$398

Start Order tab shows $398 US for 4. The site also mentions getting a sample, I am willing to try 1 for $100 or so.

If they work looks like a relatively easy mod

Maybe send them a link to the thread and let them know it will be basically free advertising if they can send one at $100, let them know you will install it and share results. Couldn't hurt, but $270 for one will

I wonder how plug and play these are? This is one of those "I really don't need"...but I want as well. I can think of a number of times where partial close occurred with double shut and this would address.

I had it OEM on my 1994 Acura Legend coupe and it is a cool feature. I also have had to go back to my GX to fully close the door.

I wonder if they would provide an install manual? I imagine it is fairly simple.

Door locker is held by three screws from the door edge when the lock latch is, fairly easy to install and uninstall. The only concerns I have on this would be: how fit with the external door handle mechanism? If the cable for the inside handle be able to reach the new locker and with same connecting holes? The OEM locker is pretty bigger in size compare to this one. Last but not least, if it is a plug and play with the power lock harness? From the size of this one, I can almost certain the original location for the power lock harness will not be the same as this one, which has another issue if the exist harness wire can reach the replacement locker if the connector is the same. Really wish if they could have a better side by side illustration with the OEM lock unit.
