Default 2019 premium HAC

Just got a used 2019 premium. Based on this thread, I guess the HAC kicked in when I was pulling out of a parking spot on a steep hill. Clicking and beeping. Didn’t seem useful. Anyone with a more recent GX have better luck with HAC or is it still more of a nuisance than a benefit. Everything else on my GX seems great but this feature seems annoying. But maybe I’m using it wrong.

has variable action. so it can depend on the slope. the benefit in the above case is that you were alerted to the fact that it sensed it was going backwards. although you might have realized it, there are many people who do not realize sometimes when they start going backwards, then they bump into something behind them. this happens many times when on just the right slope where you can let off the brakes and the vehicle just sits there. then either the idle shifts, some truck passing, whatever causes it to go back and the driver isnt pressing the brake.
