Default Mice Ate Thru Wires

Didn’t drive it today. Never had a mice problem until after lunch. Chewed thru a wiring harness. Does anyone know what part this is? GX460 (2014) won’t turn over.

What is this part? Anyone know a part number?

What are the blue silicone things called?

What size wire? Can I just splice and connect them myself?

Is there a PN on the top side of the relay opposite of the wires?

Is this sitting in the location is as installed in?

I have one that looks similar but is located more under the fuse block in your top picture

Can't tell from pics if it is a relay or connector that bridges two wiring connectors together. If the latter doubtful it would be sold as as a standalone piece. You may need to do some custom wiring.

Is that more damage below? Wire loom covering almost looks burned?

Do you have an OBD scanner this may show what exactly is affected even though vehicle won't start?

Leave it and make an insurance claim. There is likly way more damage then you can see and could result in countless problems down the road.

Good point CanadaGX... I think this would go under comprehensive which from my experience seems to not affect rates.

Insurance claim? Trying to fix what you have shown may only fix that problem and there could be other hidden damage.

Yes, those wires were also chewed but only slightly.

Do you have any reason not to claim this on insurance? DIY can of worms...

Just want general info on what it is or what is does. I know that it’s a part that won’t turn the engine over. I am not a DIY when it comes to my GX that’s why I bought a Lexus. I do have insurance coverage.

Gotcha. Sucks to buy a highly dependable truck and rodents ruin your experience. Good luck.
