Good info as I have a handle to replace. Selling dealer paid for a replacement, original Lexus part, but I think I received an incorrect one.

Need the driver's side rear door, part number says front door 🤨 Haven't opened the box to look.

Okay, second update. I purchased and installed the second set of rear door all black handle/cover. This time I knew where I made my mistakes. I definitely took off the window weather strip before reinstalling the door panel. I did it in probably 15-20 mins. Amazing difference once you have the first one done. I did have difficulty removing that damn window strip and cracked part of the plastic trying to pry the metal clip out with one screw driver while pushing down with another simultaneously.

Also, for the sake of saving money, I did not purchase the matching front door black handles. I will have to get those at a later date.
So I for the time being, I also purchased the ebay door handle covers. So as promised I was the first to try for the sake of the board.

Here are my results, installation was 2 mins. It has a double sided tape on the inside, you peel off the paper and stick. In the box it comes with a alcohol wipe looking thing that says it is adhesive activator or something like that. I forget exactly. I first wiped down both handles with an actual alcohol wipe to clean them. Then I used the provided adhesive activation wipe and then I stuck on the handle and held it with pressure for about 30 secs. The front handles have a hole over the sensor to lock the door. In the end, it gets the job done fine, from far it looks perfect and at night it looks perfect. It is only upon close inspection that you can tell it's a cover. There is a small double sided strip on the inside of the cover to keep it attached. It seems to me they did not compensate for the added thickness of the tape so it has a small gap around the edge where you see the original handle. Really it was only noticeable on the handle cover, just on the edge. I really don't think anyone will ever notice. Only you because you know and you will be critical. But for the price, it accomplished the task of hiding the ugly cracked chrome and matching the rear all black handles. I am happy. In 6 months or so, I'll just buy the actual handles for the front.

Here are some pictures for anyone interested.

Front is plastic cover. Back is actual replacement handle.

They look good. So they just pried out and double tape?
How did they crack like that? exposed to salt and elements?

I heated the new ones up to make the original tape more pliant and the chrome came off pretty great...

The old ones (I did not heat them) put up more of a fight, the non-moving smaller pieces broke on removing them...

I did not have to remove the handles from the car--but did remove the smaller pieces on the front doors...

I used the 3M VHB double-sided trim tape... That stuff is pretty strong it should hold up great

It was a Florida car almost all of its life (pre-me) and they had all faded and crazed up like that...

some questions:
  • how did you remove the non-moving pieces
  • in hindsight, would heating the old ones have made it easier (im guessing you used a heat gun)
  • how much of a mess was there after removing them
  • at $130, what is worth it, are you happy with the finished product
gg

  • so, the only two really non-moving parts were the ones on the rear doors... once I did the fronts (pull body plug, T25(?) to get the key assembly (driver's side) and "same" part from passenger side) -I could "see" what to do... the chrome has a clip thing on the handle side, I pried that open and then pushed it off slowly--un-adhering the double sided tape...
  • heating the handles on the car would have definitely helped--I was a bit afraid to use a heat gun on the painted plastic, though... I did the new ones in the oven(heated oven to 150(lowest setting I could go) and turned it off, then stuck the part in for a few minutes...
  • once removing the old ones, the double sided tape came off pretty easily, rolled it off with my thumb... then used isopropyl to clean parts...
  • I am VERY pleased with how they turned out, and for $130, it is a bargain--hopefully they will hold up well!

My two rear door handles cracked and I have a 2010 Black GX460. I was also interested in adding smart keyless since I was changing them out using information from this thread . I am wondering if I can order two of these 69210-60150-C0 for the rear doors instead of 69210-60160-C0. Do I also need to buy covers, if so which ones or can I reuse the current ones I have since that part is not cracked?

the handles themselves are cracked? Or the decorative trim?

The handles I bought were black, but not shiny black--like unfinished, ready to paint matte black... I just needed the chrome, though.

The actual handles cracked at the front of the handle and are still usable but only attached at the back. So the part number (69210-60150-C0) is not for painted door handles?

69250-60030-C0 - Handle Cover, Front Door RH

Hey Jeff, can you tell me what vehicle these parts are the oem for? I tried ordering the front handles today and the dealer requested a vin because they wanted to verify if the part I needed was for a US vehicle or non-US.

I tried to google it and cannot find much about what vehicle they are supposed to go in.

I know the rear handles worked perfect and frankly I'm surprised this isn't a very common "mod" on the forums.

Now I want to replace the front ones.

Thank you.

With this being a work truck for me I open the rear gate and drivers side passenger door quite a bit. It broke on me today so I put a sticky strip on it to remind me to be carful (it is blue but pic is not showing). After looking at the broken hinge side I will say this could have been done better with the limited plastic used to support the hinge.

Mine broke the same was a few weeks ago. Replacement was $100 and kinda confusing to replace but doable once you figure some of it out.

Did you buy it from the dealer? I paid half that.
