Thanks for trying. Bummer that it doesn’t work.

ODB Fusion has some addon extra settings and features in their app for Toyota and Lexus that have more functions. I wonder if it can display that info via the wireless ODB. I have the app and will try to get the addons.

Is ODB typo for OBD?

I perused those things on eBay. About half dozen models I checked was operating on 433MHz band which is for EU vehicles.

The one I have tried is for 315MHz. However, as other members here have also mentioned, there is another fact involved which the communication protocol difference for different markets.

Can the Autel only read data one tire at a time right near the valve stem or can you be rolling down the road and display data from all tires?

I am pretty sure it can only read data at the valve stem. Because in order to read the data, it requires to send the trigger signal to the transmitter, The TP401 has no mechanism to register and save the transmitter IDs, therefore, it is no way to do a dynamic receiving without knowing which wheels are talking. That is my non-automotive terminology wild guess

Thanks! I had considered picking one up if it could do live data but now knowing it is very limited I'll pass.

The only reason I had one just for the easy and quick way to find out which wheel has the problem. I normally have a portable pump in the car during any road trip as a safety measure.

Yes, one at a time starting from always Left front to right front right rear and left rear always in that order. You go around the vehicle CW.

Not sure if that's how it works.... You trigger the sensors (as you described in order), it records each wheel pressure, that's it! in order to do another reading, you have to trigger it again, and in fact, the unit will ask you if you want to erase the previous data before even entering the triggering mode. Unless there is some tricks that I didn't know to make it a real time reader.

What I wonder is vehicle with TPMS tells which which wheel has tire pressure problem. Isn't that enough? New cars are coming with more and more Run Flat tires.(I don't like this tires, costs more, gives hard ride)
I carry little 12V compressor with gauge in the trunk. If I get pressure warning I pull over. Inspect tire and rim if I can;t see anything obvious I pump up the pressure, keep on driving. At first possible time and place
I take the wheel off, check it out patch the tire, replace tire or remount it to reseal the bead.

I don't normally keep one in my commute vehicles but anytime I drive any car including the GX more than 100 miles I keep a small 12V compressor with me too.

Autel support claims the
TS601 TS601
and
TS608 TS608
will read live data while vehicle is traveling.

Makes sense. While vehicle is rolling already sensors are triggered transmitting signal. Looks like Autel tool can receive the signal.
