TPMS / TPWS Questions/Comments/Concerns

I haven't seen the light again but spent some time with TS today to map out what sensors are which with my non-winter set.
It appears this code was generated by TPMS sensor in my left front tire. If code shows up again I will probably replace that single sensor.

I had my light come on again and TS spit out it couldn't communicate with 3 of the 5 sensors. I am now suspecting the ARB remote refrig temp monitor might be on a similar frequency as the TPMS sensors. Looking back I think this started when I added that. It does have 4 channels you can select from so might try a different one.

Bringing this thread back...
So after seeing option in OBD Fusion to read TPMS and not being able to read it I reached out to support of OBD Fusion.
Here is why, what is needed and what I ordered:
[Me]
"I am curious if there is any chance TPMS support is possible to add-on for a Lexus GX 460. I have a 2012. I can read the sensor data fine with Techstream. Fusion can’t seem to communicate with the TPMS module even with ’12 Add-on. Others on forums report the same behavior. As this vehicle just has the idiot light it would be great to pull tire pressure through the app."
[Support]
"Thanks for reaching out to us! Which adapter are you using? The TPMS modules uses a protocol that not all generic ELM327 adapters can access. An ELM327 adapter that supports the genuine ELM v2.0 or newer command set is required to access that module."
[Me]
"Good to know. I’ll search for a 2.0 model."
[Support]
"You’re welcome! Just be aware that most of the non-genuine ELM adapters will advertise a version that really isn’t 2.0 or later. An adapter that uses the genuine ELM chip would be the best option."
[Me]
"Thanks! Looks like I will need to put money forth for the real deal. Any known adapters you can recommend? Talk about a tough search to find a good one... :"
[Support]
"This company sells one, but they are not located in the US: https://elm-327.eu/elm_wifi
We are working with the OBDLink manufacturer to get them to update their adapters for ELM v.2.0 support. Their adapters are firmware upgradable and hopefully they will have an update soon."
Basically all the cheap ones don't do 2.0 even if they say it. I ordered the one above shipped from Romania for around $65. I'll post back if this works or not.

EDIT2: OBDFusion says this adapter is compatible.
https://www.obdsoftware.net/scantools/obdlinkmxplus
EDIT: Vendor appears to no longer be selling adapter or out of stock. I haven't received any responses to inquiries yet.
This adapter does appear to have the full ELM 2.0 command set and it reads TPMS module on the GX with OBD Fusion. I just did a quick test this afternoon and saw pressure and temp readable. I didn't check battery level or obtain the TPMS hardware IDs. Pressure reads in inHg in Fusion. Gonna ask support if there is a way to change that. It took about 10 days to get from Romania.

Thank you Acrad...This is awesome! I’m going to order one.
I remember I see in ODB Fusion that you can change to PSI.
edit: they are out until 9/10 and won’t ship until then

I think the Carista developer said there are issues when multiple devices are live at the same time.
I'm gonna try this cable out where one can easily enable/disable a leg of splitter.

I have found kind of a bummer... when you connect to the TPMS module that is all that is available for that connection. OBD Fusion gives you a selection of 4 different networks and TPMS is on one all by itself. I was hoping I could track PSI and AT temps at the same time but that doesn't appear to be the case.

@Acrad, how long did it take for you to receive the device from elm-327.eu?
Mine is showed shipped on 9/7/18. Hope it arrives before I take a long 2 day trip in 2 weeks.

I don't know if anyone noticed this on 2019.
STANDARD ON: GX 460 LUXURY, GX 460, GX 460 PREMIUM
DIRECT TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM*
The direct Tire Pressure Monitor System continually monitors the air pressure of all four tires. When the tire pressure drops to a critically low level, a light on the instrument panel alerts the driver to the location of the tire.STANDARD ON: GX 460 LUXURY, GX 460, GX 460 PREMIUM

It will be easy to confirm on a '19 with Techstream or OBD Fusion to see if all 5 slots have TPMS IDs assigned to them or if spare tire sensor did get dropped.

Owner's manual doesn't appear to be updated for this feature:
