Lightbulb Does my GX460 has TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)

Good day for all,
I am new here. I got a 2010 GX.
I love the car but the specs we have here are bit different than the ones in US.
We do not have the TPMS installed even in the premium class.

I was thinking to install one but I do not know much about it.
Would anyone please show me the TPMS lamp indicator on the dashboard?
Any idea of the parts I need for that?

Thanks,

Check the driver's footwell under the dash, I think that button might no longer be present on the GX though.

The sensors will have to be initially programed with a factory scan tool, I don't think there's an aftermarket option that can do this. If the button is not present, this would have to be done every time you switch tires.

All new vehicles in the US must have a TPMS, not sure about other countries.

"Koz" and "T4Fun"

Thanks for the helpful info. Since I'm deflating and inflating my tires every weekend due to my lovely hobby "driving in the desert", I really need to know what is my tires pressure everyday.

I've been to silver lake, MI and it has a similar nature.

Thanks!

TPMS will light tire dashboard when your PSI in any of your tires (including spare) is off by 5psi (or 25%) from what is stated on the door sill.

I'm not at my GX at the moment, but if you open the driver's door you will see what the tire pressure should be. Once it's off by 5psi from that number, TPMS will light up dash icon.

If you want to know exactly what psi is in each of your tires, there are many aftermarket solutions that provide tpms with monitor.

You can also connect standard lexus/toyota diagnostics tool and see exactly what psi is, but it's not convinient to drive with it around.

Good luck!

I'm slightly bothered by the Lexus TPMS system, Since 2003 Chevy has had the TPMS with each tires PSI shown on the dash through the display. Even my company's 1 ton cargo vans has that but my 60k Lexus doesn't. Something's wrong with that.

Just my .02

I would rather have Lexus with basic TPMS sensors and have a reliable car than Chevy which can break down at any point. This is such a minor detail to worry about in my opinion.
