Default 2014 and Carista

I have a 2014 GX460. The TPMS light came on, first time, but all tires check ok with a pressure gauge. I do have the Carista ODB2 module, but have not paid for the pro version of the app. When I load the app (IOS) it never shows the TPMS page and before paying them I would like to know if it will read/display the pressure and let me reset it for the 2014. It might be the batteries died in the TPMS's but will wait to replace them when I do the tires in a couple months.

TIA

Does your spare have a sensor? How is the pressure? Also does the light flash for at least 30 seconds when you start the vehicle or does it go straight to solid?

IIRC Carista won't program the TPMS on the 460. It may be somewhere in this existing thread and confirmed by developer at the time.

the spare looks good, don’t know about sensor, and it just goes solid on startup

Drop the spare and check the air. Straight solid light means one of the tires is low.

Yup it was the spare, at 26 psi, I find the spare is a pain to deal do with a painful shoulder. It must have been the cold snap (50F to 30F) since all the tires dropped a couple pounds when sitting in a parking garage for 24 hours.

Thanks

Had this happen last night, light started flashing for about 30 seconds then went solid. Been raining here ( DFW ) .. Now, gotta figure out which tire it is…and pray it ain’t the spare... fun!

I really need to invest in an inflator and do the spare tire mod to make it easier …

Flashing most likely means one of your sensors stopped transmitting. Sounds like it’s time to replace

Funny .. I had that in my wish list ( amazon ) and kept wondering if the reviews were honest!

A bit pricey at $90 but maybe worth it over the corded ones!

Do I need to buy the Adaptor Hose accessory with the unit ( A8 Apex ) ?

Thanks!

While it is a screw on valve stem adaptor you don't lose any noticeable air upon removal so I would say no additional hose accessory needed.

Hey all, I have a 2016 GX460 and I'm trying to find the right Denso TPMS sensor. Rockauto says 550-0106 but I'm hearing conflicting reports of 550-0103. Does anyone know what the right one is?

Default TPMS light reset

Okay, so freaking annoyed with this POS TPMS light and can’t find a way to reset the damn thing !

Checked the air and it’s all good but the light won’t go away. Probably the sensor but I don’t care about replacing it right now. Probably do the TPMS delete..

Anyway, is there a procedure to reset this manually ? If so, where is the stupid button ? Sorry.. just a bit annoyed at Lexus for not incorporating the pressure read out in the cluster on pre-20 models and not making it easy to do a reset!

Thanks all!!

On my 2021 I can program new TPMS sensors and reset the pressures through the small dash info screen and the steering wheel navigation buttons. I do it with seasonal tire changes and it works great. Not sure if your 2018 also offers this but check your manual to see
