Spare tire & TPMS? (got a flat)
So lucky me, get back from travel yesterday and went to run some errands, ended up getting a flat on the right rear, nice little piece of shrapnel. Barely 300 miles on the '14.
Made it home, hissing like a mother. I changed the tire myself. When I start the truck this morning, the TPMS light is on.
So is that because the system is detecting the flat tire (which is now in my cargo area)? Is the spare tire even equipped with TPMS?

Our Toyota Camry shows you the individual pressures for each tire.
Toyota knows how to do it. Be sure to let them know of your dissatisfaction when they survey you.
Also, our Camry has an on-screen outline with the backup camera that will show you if an object is within the driving area of your vehicle.
While I own a GX, my next Utility vehicle will be a Toyota since you get more for your money with a Toyota than you do with a Lexus. I'll be looking closely at a LandCruiser!

TPMS light stays on
The light came on a few days ago, so I checked tires and made sure they were all at the correct PSI. But the tire pressure warning light continues to stay on. I've read other threads about a reset switch in the first generation GX, so is there that same switch in the second generation GX? And if so, where is it? Can't find anything in the manual about it. Thank you for your help.

Tire pressures do not display on the dash of the 2014 GX, as it is a continuation of the previous model just with a face lift. TPMS lights usually illuminate on the first cold morning in the fall because colder air is less dense than warmer air, resulting in a lower tire pressure. If your pressures are already low, cold temps will lower it below the threshold and illuminate the light.
There are 5 sensors on the vehicle including the spare tire. If this happens next year, you can save yourself a trip to the dealer and check them your self if you have the desire. Recommended tire pressures are on the driver's door jam when you open the door.
