this will be just another variation of the vertical screen unit. I highly doubt it can be universally apply to before and after model year 14 as there are significant change how CAN communicated with the head unit and ECUs. Not only the cable harnesses needs to be different, the software will needs to different as well. For granted, the suppliers listed could have made two versions of the unit, thus to listed as covering all model years.

 

I have a radio Tesla style installed in my 2019 GX460 and need instructions to handle those cuts that needed to reconnect off the circuit board as are proprietary to this unit and the AliExpress people are non-responsive. Again I used all means on finding out why the airbag light is still on my instrument cluster and had the truck open panels two weeks now. I followed the instructions however those two wires cut from the circuit board, purple connected to black and orange connected to white from the old connector are dead, I measured them, the red left uncut on the board has all the power and I think has a role and needs to be connected too somehow. This chip like circuit board came attached to the new unit and is designed for this reason, to turn off the airbag light. Anyway thanks to everyone reading this and if someone installed it would know what I am talking about. Thanks in advance for any opinion or useful information. My car is a 2019 GX460 premium. I did as showing below and still on.

The glare is absolutely abhorrent. I’ve got the 10.4” in the 470 and the glare is atrocious.
