Glad you got it working. Good work on finding the adjustment shortcut.

So far we haven’t gotten any false alarms with our setting similar to yours (8 or 9).

I spent some times today to adjust GBS using Acrad method. However, the module must have been adjusted previously or wasn’t installed properly because the adjust slot was
no where lined up with the screw hole inside the glovebox.
I ended up pull out the wood trim and the right vent, which was really easy to do.

I found the module was facing more upward instead of
downward facing the screw hole. Since I don’t have a very small long flathead, I ended up pulled the module up more so I could adjust via the opening behind the air vent.

I used a small flat head screw from the eye glasses repair kit. It was a bit of painful to get it slot in correctly. After many attempts to adjust different level, I ended up at 9, two knots down from the max. At 8 setting, it
does do anything. Now it goes off with a couple of key taps on the windows.

Thanks Acrad for the tip to turn to 1 then back to 11 then to setting if it somehow does work after reset. It happened to me when at 10, I went back to 8 and it didn’t work. After a few tries, I adjusted to 1 then to 11 and it worked again.

One thing I noticed that I don’t remember if it’s always that way or not. But the security light flashed as soon as I locked with the remote. It was supposed to stay solid for 30sec before flashing when arm. When this happened the car isn’t arm. After I adjusted the GBS, the car now arms properly.

Good to hear you got yours working as well!! On arm behavior I couldn't remember myself how it behaved before but now notice the 30 second arm period. I was using a little $10 faraday bag to put the FOB while testing so I didn't have to keep moving it far away from vehicle during testing.

Not that I had any false alarms but looking closer I think I was closer to level 10 so dialed it back to 9 and still works great.

One thing I didn't mention here was that this installs along a few of the same paths as the remote starter so I had to clip a few of the zip ties from that install and bundle this harness with new zip ties.

If someone plans MTS, Remote Start ('10-'15) and GBS... you could make your life a lot easier doing all of those three mods at the same time while you have the dash apart.

I read this before but didn't think much about it as it would have been obvious if someone broke into car before installation of GBS.

If false alarm went off or someone starting tapping on glass there is the "Alarm Memory Function"

Cheapest I could find out there shipped. It showed up today 2-day shipping.

Anyway module is set at "7" on this one and also has a sticker over the connector on module that says "Caution - Adjustment is required to prevent false alarms. Refer to installation manual"

Major snow storm for area right now and family event the following weekend so might be a couple weeks before install. Hopefully I can tune the sensitivity properly. I never wanted a shock sensor type functionality so if I can get this to just work for glass I will be very pleased.

Been meaning to come back to this thread. Looks like I have the glass break but no one pointed it out when I asked what the mic was...

Is sensor sensitivity set to work correctly in your vehicle? You should be able to just tap on the glass with your key to get it to go off.

Lightbulb HELP: 2021 GX Alarm Going Off Intermittently

Hi all,

Just as the title says, car alarm is going off at work in the middle of the day repeatedly and in the middle of the night 1:30am, 2am, 3:30am. Not sure what triggering it. Has anyone else had this issue?

TIA!

Do you have the factory Glass Break Sensor?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...ge-sensor.html

Is alarm running for 20 or 60 seconds? GSB warning detection is 20 seconds while regular alarm is 60 seconds according to the GBS manual.

How do I tell if I have GBS installed without taking apart the glove compartment? I haven't let the alarm run because it's been going off in the middle of the night when I notice it. At work, security comes in and tells me it's been going off but by the time I get to the parking lot it has stopped.

If dealer or port installed microphone for GBS should be mounted to that black trim piece that just pops down below the glove box. See post #20. Part in the foam.

I will check this evening. Interesting pattern here:

9/2/21 - 1:30am, 3:30am, 1:20pm
9/3/21 - 1:00am, 3:00am, 1:23pm

Previous times were very similar to these, but I just started writing them down yesterday. Thinking some sort of ECU malfunction?
