I have a 2012 GX460 and my alarm keeps randomly going off if the vehicle is locked. I'm currently on a trip so I've not been able to hook up tech stream and see if there are any codes, but there's no info on the multifunction display or lights on on the dash. I tried removing all the door sensors (the part that tells the car if the door is open) and the problem still occurs. After I lock the car sometimes the alarm goes off in 15 minutes and other times it can be a few hours but it's ALWAYS goes off if it's locked. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any ideas on how to troubleshoot? The only way to keep it from going off has been to leave the doors unlocked- which is fine while visiting my parents in the middle of no where but that's not gonna work long term. Any guidance welcome!
It has adjustable sensitivity and is plug and play. As a troubleshooting tool if you don't have access to TS you could unplug the ECU (if equipped).. it is in the area where the MTS ECU is located
Techstream has an area you can look at what triggered the factory alarm
Does anyone know if the GBS PT39860111 works with late model 2022-2023 GX460s? One parts website LexusPartsNow claims compatibility, however OEMVehicleParts says it is not. Anyone with a late model GX perform this GBS install and able to report results? TIA
a note on the glass sensor. if you leave a water bottle (plastic) inside and have the cap tight, the bottle will expand as the interior heats up. it makes a crack sound as this happens and sets off the alarm. need to leave the cap off.
