Default Is 2014+ suspension different? Better ?

I thought the chassis and mechanicals were the same for all years but the 2014 press release says:

“The 2014 Lexus GX 460 is powerful and athletic, with a fresh, bold look for 2014 – and enhanced suspension system for even greater performance and handling in all weather and road conditions.”

and

“ – featuring an independent, double wishbone front suspension and four-link rear suspension enhanced with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, featuring upgraded components for 2014.”

Does anyone what what *really* changed in 2014?

Turning radius is different

'10-'13 460 - 38.1 feet

'14 + 460 - 41.4 feet

The basic suspension and KDSS are the same

Good to know...I wonder why? Which parts did Lexus change and why? Has anyone every driven a similar mileage / condition ‘13 and ‘14 back to back?

Numerous PNs for steering racks that occurred from 5/2012-5/2015. Aside from the preload spring change in March 2012 not aware of any other physical changes.

Never driven a '14+ so can't compare myself.

Front stabilizer bar PN for a '14+ is ----> 48811-60390

10-13 ---> 48811-60340
and is around $25 cheaper

I wasn't aware of or didn't note the suspension-related highlights you pointed out here, but this is a great question that I'm curious about now too.

I don't have any answers, but I would add that it raises another question: Are these upgraded components on both the GX models, i.e., ones with active height control and ones without?

On a related note, when I was still looking, I test drove 3 2010-2013 GX Premium models, all with AHC, then one 2015 Premium (no AHC), then bought my 2014 Premium. Didn't drive any AHC vs non-AHC back to back, but can't say that the AHC-equipped versions rode significantly differently -- at least not in a way I noticed. I think my '14 Premium handling is great though. Very comfortable, but still has a truck feel, which is perfect for me. Handles speed bumps and potholes nicely, and flat roads firmly in a good way. While researching the GX, I noticed a lot of reviewers said it has "typical" or "significant" body roll "expected" for this kind of SUV, but I'm baffled by that now that I own one, because I've experienced no body roll worth noting even pushing my GX on the sharp curves of freeway on ramps and such. And I have a '91 MR2 to compare to. Seems like KDSS is working well for me.
