I need help from experts.
Past few days my 2011 GX460 goes into complete power shutdown after I pressed start button.
It has happens twice in 3 days. When I pressed button to start the car, all the power goes out like circuit breaker has been tripped. Complete power down. Like if I had pulled the battery out. After 1 to 2 minutes, everything comes back on but everything has been reseted. Car starts fine after that. Any guess what is wrong?

first check the battery voltage as this happens, check directly on the battery. watch the meter to see how low it goes.

How old is your battery? Not a battery expert but it could be a shorted cell/plate within battery. If it is an old battery this is quickest to rule out. I would also give the terminals a thorough cleaning as well. You could have tested at auto parts store as well.

Battery is about 2 years old.

the age doesnt by itself really matter. its a combination of factors that cause it to stop working.

Arrhenius' equation gives the dependence of the rate constant of a chemical reaction on the absolute temperature, a pre-exponential factor and other constants of the reaction.

this is why some designs have the battery in the trunk, and others under the back seat. reduce the heat and it lasts way longer.
