With my work schedule, I haven't had a chance to look at it. I will keep you all up date when i can look at it. It's been driven for the past week with no issues. It only seems to happen when the car sits for a week or two, then its fine, until it sits again.

Techstream can be used to troubleshoot whether switchgear is working as well.

Example:

Thought you were trolling. I am sorry. Hopefully all works out in the future.

No Problem, I would never want to tarnish the reputation of such a well built vehicle. I just thought it was important to tell my story in case others were facing similar issues.

I was going to post all the other invoices but I feel bad enough and the ones above lists a bunch of my previous issues in summery.

It's driving like a dream right now, I'm only concerned I may have issues reselling it when the time comes.

It looks like you had some bad luck with this one. But glad the dealer stood behind their word and did the repairs for you free of charge. Still, your time and frustration cannot be compensated.
Personally (and I mean it's my personal opinion), I would get rid of it once the issues seem to be sorted, only fearing more problems may crop up. I agree with Acrad above that there may be some hidden history that was not reported (the backward seat belt is a dead giveaway!). Perhaps best if you trade it in with the same dealer towards a new GX.

As for the clunk, I think I have come across discussion on these forums where adding grease to the driveshaft has helped. Also, speaking of shifting into D from a slight reverse movement, I'm talking about barely moving. In general that really isn't the best for any transmission but there have been so many other cars or trucks that have accepted that shift very gracefully. I won't be doing that anymore though!

We'll end up seeing what the dealership has to say. I've got a couple other concerns to raise but this would be the primary one.
I think I have the same issue with our 2019. New in January, has about 2500 miles on it. I am hoping the warmer weather will cause this clunk to disappear until December. If it doesn’t, can you point me to the grease instructions? I can’t seem to locate the other threads you mention. How is your issue? Thanks!

Mine does this also...reverse and then shifting to D. For me, i just learned to wait a millisecond after shifting to drive before stomping on gas pedal. No biggie for me.

You might consider an AT fluid drain and fill. Even after my first one I notice low speed shifts seem to be even more smooth than I remember.

Same Issue with GX460 2011, started when we bought the second car.
It is driven once every two weeks now. This happening, because it is not driven everyday.
Temp resolution you have to shift from park to drive and move it back and forth to finally get "D" to come up.
I think it is the switch assembly indicator on the transmigration.

I will see what OBD Fusion/Link shows for status on the switchgear. It may help pin down issue if you don't want to mess with Techstream.

One could test switches with product listed above.

If you go left and right on pictures to see what is available.
