Yeah, I have seen this. Lexus wood trim is real wood. This reminds me of my Acura faux wood accents that were obvious plastics.

This reminds me of my old school daily driver nissan maxima. The previous owner liberated the car with slapping on faux wood like this throughout the interior. I'm not a fan of this at all.

What year Maxima did you have?

I had a '87 SE when I was a younger and a '02 GLE later on

I wouldn't order the cure for cancer from CarID. Horrible vendor with abysmal service.

96' Maxima GLE. That thing was built like a tank.

89 black Maxima SE, great car just rusted so bad that when it rained it soaked the back seat from the wheel wells.

interior appointments from Lexus look way too chinzy on the GX. Would like some better materials. The carid thing is outrageously hideous, reminds of the "gold trim" packages of yore. Open pore wood, leather, or brushed real metal would be nice. Of course this isnt the Lx/ls so id be fine with the current RX level interior appointments/ upgrade.

Looking to cheapen the interior? The luxury has real wood interior.

Sort of answered my question about the quality. Even though I do have the luxury model the wood is not as nice or rich looking as the burl wood I had in my 2008 GX470. The selection of wood choices is so limited for the newer models. I would not put in anything in my 2022 if the quality looked like bad. Was looking for info on the quality and if any kits fit 2022 luxury model.

Thanks

I loved my Maximas. Had a black ‘95 SE and a black ‘96 GLE.

Am curious if they have a Drakkar holder that matches the trim for a cupholder? That’d complete the throwback.
