Default GX F Sport Rims

Since I'm too cheap to spend $2k on new tires and new TRD Pro 17inch rims in an effort to reduce the unsprung weight on these heavy 32lb stock 18in wheels, I figured the F Sport rims are the next best options. Anyone with experience with both the stock and F Sport wheels and noticed a difference in their ride characteristics? The F Sports are about 3lbs lighter per wheel, not really worth the money TBH.

Reason I want to go with Lexus and TRD Pro rims is because I would not need concentric rings and it is a simple bolt on process.

You're not going to notice any difference between the factory spoke wheels and the FSport wheels. I'm running the FSports currently. Biggest downside is I'm not a fan of the FSport lug nuts and having to have 2 special sockets to remove them.

I guess 3 measly pounds dont really mean anything.

Unless you're doing rally, Baja racing or serious off road washboard at 80 MPH, you will NEVER notice the difference in wheel weight, regardless of what wheels you mount.
Also take into account that if you put ultra light wheels on, what type of tires are you going to go with? Anything larger than stock will weigh more!
Now you're back to where you started in un-sprung weight per corner.

I plan on putting on similar size tires. Lighter wheels will improve the ride at any speeds.

Looks great. Are you running 275/65R18 tires? Any wheel spacers?

For me, I just do not understand the fixation on unsprung weight on what is a truck based platform You are better served to upgrade the shocks if you want improved control and response. Now if this were a Porsche 911 forum, then ...

Let's be honest here, the ride on the GX can get a bit unruly over rough payments and expansion joints. Just because it is a truck based platform doesnt mean its ride quality can't be improved.

The OEM shocks are the reason ... they are marginal at best when compared to high-end options. Yes, you can relieve the shocks of having to deal with some weight, but that IMHO will not yield much improvement.
