VIN decoder says I have heated steering, but no switch??
According to the VIN decoder I have a "Luxury" package (2014) with heated steering wheel. However, I could not find the switch where it usually is (near the driver left knee'ish).
Could the VIN decoder be wrong??
Thanks..

That is odd... and you do have the adjustable shocks (AVS) and rear airbags (RAHC)?

The Canadian GX brochures I've found don't have much info in them. I think the last time I looked for one it combined the LC and GX.
I wonder in 2014 if this was inside another package that year?
Example of Packages on a '19:
https://www.lexus.ca/lexus/en/build-price/gx#/packages
I guess I should look harder... here is the '14 brochure for Canada

In looking at brochure above you would have needed to get the "Ultra Premium" model to get the heated steering wheel.

That was my understanding. Only Ultra Premium package will have the heated steering. Mine is Premium with Luxury package, so I guess the VIN decoder is not 100% accurate.
The heated steering sure would've come in handy this week. High here is -25 degC (-13 degF) and the low is -31 degC (-24 degF)
...Gloves it is then!

Not to rub it it but this morning it was 45 deg and rainy in San Jose, California. I turned it on and the steering wheel was toasty within a min. I hope your gloves are velvety LOL j/k.
it sucks that these kind of options are pick and choose instead of bundled in.

Wonder if it is something that can be modded if I buy the switch?
EDIT: What I have is Type "A". No switch needed and limited to 100W. The switched outlet is 400W and referred to as Type "B"
Also, assuming the wiring is capable of accepting "A" or "B" types, the price for the 400W inverter to upgrade is prohibitive (at least for me!) at over 600 USD!! I can buy many extension cords for this price

I can't say I am entirely sure either but most of the items that showed up in the US manual that weren't available here were present in Canadian models. A few with 10-13s from Canada fully loaded (minus cool-box) are here. Let's ask them.
konc3pt - Do you have this 100/400 Watt switch in your GX?
EDIT: Also messaged a GXOR member.

FYI: GXOR member says they have a '10 Ultra Premium model and it does have 400 watt capable inverter. They also saw another Canadian model that had the cool box but had the standard 100W setup.
