Anyone else get this email? Does the ROAV VIVA interface with the 2011 nav system? Probably not directly, but if it does interface at all I would assume via your phone's BT to the GX. Thoughts?

Soup - Does your iP X interface directly to the Lexus NAV system? (I realize I'm asking a question I may already know the answer to, but I'm NOT an egg-sucking scumbag lawyer LOL)
To put it more succinctly, if someone came out with a product that used your mobile phone for net and synced directly to your vehicle's onboard NAV, then I'd be interested.
Otherwise, it's just a preponderance of flashy, shiny, gimmicky bells and whistles that are not integrated.

One issue I have with it is that the only 12 VDC port we have is in our ashtray. I don't think I want that big ugly thing sticking out of my ashtray not to mention the ashtray being open all the time with the light on. The light on in the ashtray during night time driving would bother me.
But that's my personal opinion.

No it's not. I don't think there are any device out there that interface or sync to the GX NAV or system, except just bluetooth.
So this one is just like any BT enabled device but instead of use Siri on Iphone, it has Alexa. It takes the command for Alexa, launch some apps on the phone and send the sound via BT to the GX system.
I'm not sure what kind of Navigation it could do with Alexa and your phone's Map that you couldn't do with just by using BT.
The reviews on Amazon mentioned that it was so spotted with Alexa that it only works sometimes.

I fell for the ad and got one from Amazon. I have yet to figure it out. Does fit nicely in my ashtray port but the charging plugs are not available. I have a second port in my lower console.

Still have figured out if it will work with my iPhone and the Bluetooth technology in my 2007 SC 430. I might not be ready for primetime! Has anyone had any luck with it?.

I hope to chat with Roav over the weekend to confirm the setup.
