With my vehicle just over 60k, I have read an article (link below) of the water pump that needs to be replaced at 60k. Can anyone chime in if they have replaced their waterpump as the article states that it has a "short life?"

Nice article. It was a good read.
I had water pump leaking at 45k miles. I replaced it along with thermostat and v belt using all Toyota parts. I hope it lasts a bit longer![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You don’t have to replace it at 60k but just keep an eye out for it and check for leak at every oil change or so. Some have gone over 100k+ without issues.

I won't fix the unbroken. If it is not leaking or damages, just keep an eye on it as mentioned.
When I had my 80 series Land Cruiser, everyone kept saying change the water pump every 60K. At 200K it was still working fine and no issues whatsoever. I bought a new pump though and had it on hand but never got to use it.
Had it been transmission oil or diff oil, then yes, by all means, change that. Water pump, alternator, fuel pump.. etc. if ain't broke, leave it alone.
That's just my opinion.
