I know some folks purchased OEM parts from Japan for $900+, but has anyone tried one of these cheap Chinese 150 side rail kits from eBay? I am looking for the ability to add crossbars other than OEM or Inno and figured these may work. What I can't tell from the pics and description was whether or not they had all the rubber pads and mounting hardware, but I guess if they were worthy of mounting, I could source those separately.

Can't say if those will work but a better option might be a set of 470 rails- either used or possibly from a dealer. That's what I'm considering.

You're better off getting the fenza rails which have been confirmed to fit. They look the same as the generic 150 ones you posted but have yet to verify. The price is the same. Look at the bottom of this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...s-upgrade.html

You can also search for fenza here, someone else installed it successfully.

5th Gen 4runner rails also semi work too. I think one member here installed them and reported one of the back screw isn’t line up but they work. As with the GX470 rails, you need to find a way to patch up the holes for the middle feet.
If you don’t use the roof box 24/7 and only for trips, just get the Inno bars and put them
up when need.

Thanks guys...I actually went in a different direction and added a full-length Prinsu rack to better fit my needs.

I'm picking up a Prinsu next week. How is your experience, so far? Did you buy any accessories with it?

Im going to mess around with a set of 470 rails this weekend and see what I can figure out. I know the Inno will work but I really want to try to find a way to make the Thule crossbars compatible

I love it so far...I did learn that the best fairing combo is in the 2nd position and using the noise reducing trim. Te only accessories I ordered were the awning brackets for my Batwing awning. It looks like I could have modified the Rhino brackets to work, but the Prinsu ones seemed well-made and were designed to work with the rack out of the box.

How did this turn out? I have searched this forum several times and I am trying to find the details on the capability of the 470 rails on a 460. Fenza no longer has the raised rails for the 460 on their site.

I picked up some 470 rails from e-bay. They don't fit. The fore/aft spacing is wrong. Close, but wrong. The side-to-side spacing is wrong as well. I'm not a heavy rack user, so I just went with OEM cross bars for $200...
