I have seen and bookmarked the threads with 2nd row added charging ports which is nothing new for me I did the same thing in my Tundra.
However the only real complaint the kids had about the GX was that there were no 3rd row options for charging stuff. Curious what others have done back there?
For me, I needed USB to 2nd row for kids and their 3 iPads. So I got simple extension cord from AC outlet in cargo to 2nd row. It runs under my cargo mat and then under the 2nd row bench. There, I put a Walmart 4-port charging cube. So, now i can charge up to 4 devices at once. And when they don't need it, you can push the cube and wires back under the 2nd bench. My kids love it. The Blackweb cube fits TIGHT to the extension cord!
I am not very smart with electronics...but i do know that my kids playing Fortnite on their iPads and charging at same time...their battery % does go up....the charging cube is rated for 2.4 Amp i think EACH port. For iPads, i always make sure that the charging port must support at least 2.1 Amps. And apparently, the Lexus GX 100W AC outlet supplies plenty of juice for my 3 iPads to go up in battery % while playing demanding games.
I was thinking about just using that as well. Then I could remove it when we don’t need it. Though the part of me that enjoys modding things still would like to add charging ports back there eventually. Maybe I’ll do a write up on it.

If you really want to mod some OEM alike post as many of us did for the second row, you can easily either (a) extended the power line to both sides near the third row cup holder area, remove the panel and install some USB sockets. or (b) tapping the power supply near the 120v area (where the inverter is) and install the USB sockets near the cup holder area. There should be plenty of clearance behind panel.

i thought about tapping into that rear one but wouldn’t I need an adapter to bring it down to 12v?

There is an entire inverter component behind 120v. The power supply in the car is standard 12v, it went through the inverter before to supply the 120v. You can search the on-line service manual, to get the exactly diagram schematics.
While I`d still recommend the third row user just be given an extension or power extender of sorts to just use their power brick (safety since the device bricks are able to control the power supply coming into the device, and ease of install), good luck on your endeavor!
We’re planning on adding OEM USB ports to the area next to the arm rest cup holder in the third row. Since we’re just using USB and not a 12v socket, I think we will use the power and ground from the seat controls which are in very close proximity.
The only thing I need to know is the purpose of the insulation (?) on the inside of the arm rest area. Does anyone know why that’s there? Sound and/or heat insulation for the rear AC components? Something else maybe?
I’m ready to start cutting as soon as I know if I can sacrifice some of this material in order to fit an OEM USB port.
I did as someone else on the thread recommended and snaked power wire from the center console OEM USB port I installed last year. We just tested it during a road trip and everything worked great.
I originally took the entire rear quarter plastic panels apart to try and get power from that area but that was not necessary. It was far simpler to run a wire under the middle row passenger carpeting to the door sill and up the passenger wheel hump panel.
