our 2021 is the same, push to end to hold, I haven't had any issues so far, I thought it was designed like that. I'll follow to see if normal or not

side note, my 87 560SL has similar setup and act exactly the same way, hence I did not think it was wrong

"Break" is something you do at work. "Brake" is something you do with your vehicle.

I have a 2022 and what you describe is normal. Press the e brake a little and you can still move the truck with the throttle. Press it hard and you would know the e brake is working. You are not going to hurt anything to answer your question.
