I stay with 32psi. The ride is quite comfortable and I haven't notice any big penalty regarding MPG. BTW, that's "cold" pressure. Now that it's around 100 degrees here in Texas, I'm sure the pressure has increased a couple of PSI (since I set the pressure when it was around 78 degrees a few weeks ago).

The GX is only about a month old to us and I have a question. Is there any way to to get a pressure reading from the display (either the small one in the dash or the primary NAV/Menu screen)? I LOVE the truck and am jealous that it's my wife's new ride. But I am a little confused why there isn't more parity with features on my 2015 GS350. The individual tire pressure readout is definitely one of them, plus the lack of folding mirrors when the car is locked.

There is no way to get it display the individual pressures that I know of.

As far as the mirrors folding on lock, I know someone here was working on modding it to do that, but I haven't seen any recent updates.

No way to display on any of the stock interior screens... That being said the individual tire pressure data is there and can be viewed with a Techstream or equivalent reader device.

Shouldn't hurt anything. Maybe slightly more wear on the edges of the tires as you approach higher miles on them, but nothing to worry about.

Default Your GX Tire Pressure

I have tried 40 PSI for long trip in winter time, it works great but a bit bumpy. I am planning to keep it at 38 PSI for spring/summer time. What do you guys do normally, I can not take factory suggested 32 PSI, that is too soft for me. Thanks.

32’s all around. The streets/highways in Seattle get really chewed up by studs so the cushion is nice.

my 100 series calls for 29psi in the front if you can believe that. I think no manufacturers after 2003 get even close to something in the 20’s anymore.

personally I like the idea of better traction by running a lower psi (longer/wider footprint) because of all the rain/ice that can be present here. Depending on where you are in the country that may not matter.

Factory recommended air pressure is typically for P-Metric tires ... so if you are running LT-C or LT-D or LT-E tires ... the pressure needs to be (progressively) higher to achieve the same load carrying capacity as a P-Metric tire of the same size. I run my LT-D tires at 38 psi and LT-E tires at 42 psi ... and even higher for predominantly highway driving.

I run 32psi per Lexus recommendations on stock tires for NYC roads.

I usually aim for 36 but if my pump cuts off at 35 I usually leave it.

I pump them up some when towing to around 36-38 but usually run 32 on my summer LTs and winter X-Ice.

The following is a very good overview of tire ratings and required pressure(s) ...

PS: Discount Tire .... are you listening ? ... EVERY TIME my LT-E tires are rotated and balanced, the technician drops the air pressure to 32-psi (recommended in the door jam for P-rated tires) ... essentially under-inflating the tires.

I rely on Butler Tires for my tire pressure as they use Nitrogen to prevent rust along with lasting longer in the tire. My 22” wheels on base model suspension rides like a tank. I am thinking that running below 30 psi would help with comfort. I forgot what Will trigger the tire pressure monitor? Always concerned to see the light as I do not have a spare tire with my duel exhaust system.

Benifits of Nitrogen here,

Happy to use Discount Tire but last I checked they were considering Nitrogen. Many shops will not touch my wheels out of fear of damage. I used DT with my MDX and great experience.

Are you guys listing the cold psi or driving temp psi? I have an aftermarket TPMS monitoring display in my 2011 base with oem size tires. On cold start up my tires are at 31 but after driving around they all reach around 35. Being from Boston and a New England Patriots fan you can all appreciate my take on deflation. I would have to drop my cold psi to about 27 to get a nice and warm 32 psi while driving. I’m looking for a more soft and supple ride so I may do just that.
