The big grill is the subwoofer in this pic but not sure if the small grill behind the seat belt is related to this.

Subwoofer on Mark Levinson system is on the driver side. Is this where the Premium radio houses it's Sub? 3rd zone HVAC unit takes up quite a bit of that space in the right fender area.

Sub is on the left/driver's side. The right side grill is for the 3rd zone AC/heat.

OP makes a good point! Is there a filter for that intake?

Want to update this thread. Took it to Davenport Motor Company last July and they identified the leak coming from the evaporator. Very minor leak and hasn't needed a charge since then. I believe the estimate was over $2K to replace the evaporator.

I don't think so, maybe because it uses recirculating air?

Default AC Question

There is no filter but there is blower/fan with the unit. I can clearly see one in the picture that was shared.

yes, that is the air intake for the rear A/C unit. it was in the same place on my old sequoia with the rear A/C unit. I also have a dog that sheds. On the sequpio, the rear trim around that intake was removable and when I removed it, there was a TON of hair back there. unfortunately the GX doesnt have a removable plastic surround for the rear A/C. I always try to get a shop-vac brush in there when i'm cleaning the car though.

Default Driver side heat not working

2012 GX
Just purchased, with a few small issues.
Has had HVAC (under dash) work done in the past (not by a dealer). No heat out of the drivers side, However AC works perfectly.
Heat and AC on passenger side work perfectly as well.
I've done the self HVAC diagnostic with no error codes.
I'm thinking it's a stuck/nonfunctional blend door actuator.

Can anyone point me to which actuator controls the heat/ac blend on the driver side?

Thanks

Default Climate controls button non responsive

Hello Guys,

I hope each and everyone of you are safe and doing good.
The climate control buttons on My 2018 GX 460 suddenly stopped working and are completely non responsive.
This happened when I was driving my vehicle and it was raining and I was continuously using Front and Rear buttons to clear up my front and back windshields.
None of the front, rear, dual up & down Temperature buttons are working. Even the A/C and fan controls in the dashboard screen has become non responsive.
Can anyone of you help me in understanding what could be reason behind this?
I am on a long road trip (which is still underway) and would appreciate your much needed help here.

Thanks,
DJ
