Still no luck. I used the air compressor to blow air thru the white intake? near the motor, the openings above the air filter, and the air vents.

The air feels much colder and seems to blow with more force. Then, just bc I had 2 different brands of cabin filters (Bosch Hepa and an STP from Autozone), I tried both- no difference.

It almost sounds like the noise is coming from further back (from the AC blower motor).

Any suggestions?

Here’s the noise I have…

I think the recirc damper servo is the only other motorized item in that area

Can you record noise with the blower motor disconnected?

I tried a different motor. It’s definitely better, just not sure if it’s as good as it gets? This is my sons car so I don’t have a good gage as to what normal sounds like.

Since we also have a RX and LX that need the cabin filters changed, I’m curious to know if you have a favorite.

Thank you for all the help!

To be honest that sounds about normal for the fan motor.

FYI: There is a thread on cabin filters here

Default "Dual" buttong on GX

Hello All - trying to see what option you have to get to have a "dual" button on the console of the 2023 GX. I see it in manuals, but cannot find how to get it. Coming form a 2019, so excited about having some standard buttons back!!!

Thx!

Are you talking about the climate control zones? If so there is no button on the stack, it's either 3 zone or single and that is set in the climate menu under options. There is a youtube video from a Lexus dealership out there explaining all the features of the 22-23 cars. Our RX had the dual button that you could press to allow the system to work in 2 zone mode. The GX does not have that button.

Yes - the manual also shows a "dual" button which I'd love to figure out. Unless "auto" makes the temps stay hte same and AC if needed.

Dual zone is in the base model (very rare based on my experience) then it goes to 3 zone in premium which can be turned off. If you are in single zone mode and use the adjuster on the passenger side it goes straight into 3 zone mode which is effectively what you are trying to do.

Default 23 GX climate “sync”

I’m stumped here - is there no way to “sync” the temps for driver, passenger and rear passengers on a GX?

Our Highlander has a specific “sync” button that just sets them all to the same temp as the driver - but I can’t find anything like that in our GX.

Thanks Mike.

So other than going into the settings on the infotainment screen and toggling the 3-Zone setting that’s it I guess. As soon as the passenger or rear seat occupant changes their temp it seems to turn syncing off anyway. Seems odd, but I’m already seeing some unusual/quirky things about our new GX that I guess we’ll just have to accept.

Yes, unfortunately I think this is a result of them trying to retrofit the previous generation infotainment to a 20 yr old platform. The newest one is supposed to be better but it seems they saved that for the new generation GX.
