Noticed A/T2 temp fluctuates more and at times higher than A/T1 temp. I am just curious why?

AT 1 is the pan temp and AT2 is the fluid outflow from the torque converter. Normal for 2 to get hotter than 1.

In case you want to know tire pressure of your GX with the help of mx+, below is the tire ID mapping

ID2 = driver front
ID3 = driver back
ID4 = passenger back
ID5 = passenger front

ID1 = spare

I also noticed that passenger side tire temp is consistently higher than driver side, probably to do with exhaust pipe? My tires are stock ones.

Remember... that can change around as you rotate tires so can be different on everyone's vehicles.

Mine are 1-spare / 2 - Driver Rear / 3 - Passenger Rear / 4- Driver Front / 5- Passenger Front

Not in your case but if you notice an abnormally higher temp on one tire and not in the sun it could be a sticking caliper.

I need to find the time to deflate the tires to map them as I have no idea what is what except the spare.

I'm curious why your spare tire pressure goes up. Mine mostly stays the same

My full size spare looks never used. Rotation has been done only at lexus dealership. Not sure if this is standard practice or they are just lazy not to include spare in rotation.

I did 40psi for all 4 a few weeks back, so I dont have to add air during winter month. But temp has been quite mild this winter most of time. So it is around 38/39 these days.

Overall I prefer psi between 36 and 40 cold. I dont tow and load is just avg. However I heard higher psi improves on road handling in snow/rain condition.

Hi Arcad,

In your first post you mention 2 apps: OBD Fusion and OBD Link. They seem to be from different companies (resp OC Tech LLC and OBD Solutions LLC), although some of their screens are identical. Do you know the differences? Is it the same company under different names? Which one are you using?
Does Carista still do more?

Regards,
Climber

OBD Link comes as a free download when you purchase one of their OBD adapters. Their OBD adapters will only work with OBD Link.

https://www.obdlink.com/mxp/

If you want to try using the software with your choice of OBD adapters you just purchase OBD Fusion. Same software development from what I can tell.

The advantage of OBD Link is you get all the $5-$10 add-ons for free while you have to purchase one for each model year and brand of vehicle with Fusion. If you only intend to use this with one vehicle Fusion would be the better deal.

They do update the firmware on their OBD Adapters... not something you see on the cheap OBD adapters out there.

Carista can program the personal settings like what can be done with Techstream. I've never used Carista with a vehicle in like 5 years or so. I don't remember it allowing you to create gauges... I think it is more targeted as simply a troubleshooting tool. IIRC.. tecman has Carista

Does this help?

Yes, very helpful. Thank you.
Seeing that the OBD Link adapters start at $50 and I already have an ELM327 wifi adapter and so far only 2 cars with OBDII, I'm going to try Fusion on one.

Default Who's using OBD Fusion & Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+

I was thinking of getting the OBD Fusion app & Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ dongle to get info from my 2019GX and 2010 Highlander.

Just checking to see if anyone else is using this combo, how well it works, any quirks you've stumbled onto, etc.

I have an older wifi Veepeak dongle and that thing is simply a pain to get connected and many times I don't even remember how to with all of the setup that's involved. I'm looking to update to something newer and friendlier.

Thanks.

My Veepeak doesn’t seem to connect to ANYTHING. I’d love to find one that will connect to my GROM Vline in my 460 so I can have Torque Pro fully display things like temp sensor readings and etc.

@MrTorgue

@bbqsoup using a genuine ELM chipset connected to his GROM

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...l#post11050246

Not sure how easy those are to find these day.

I believe he is referring to the same one I purchased from Romania

I'm not sure I have heard of anyone getting the OBDLink MX+ working with a GROM. OBD Link is used in lieu of Fusion with this adapter. Every vehicle expansion pack is included with purchase so no need to purchase separately like in Fusion.

I’ve seen many report that other OBDII would work too, even Veepeak.
However I have a generic one from Amazon and it doesn’t work with Grom but works with IOS.

Which Veepeak do you have?
