Morning solid freeway results - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...l#post10546031

=====================

Afternoon drive with lots of slow urban driving in city at numerous stoplights. TC never went over 197 and pan peaked at shy of 184. Flat area in middle is freeway.

So....it appears the darned thing works as advertised and lowers transmission fluid temps - which I see as a good thing.

Acrad, I know you'll want to put some more miles on it in varying conditions, but are you feeling good about your investment?

No regrets and definitely feel good about adding this.

Not the fairest comparison since traffic in pass was very heavy with lots of stop and go and then some sprints from a stop I wouldn't normally do. You can still see the differences though. That huge spike in the middle red would have normally been like a 220-225F spike without the cooler if I was driving the same as yesterday and possibly more as I don't normally hammer it that hard on that area of the climb before most of the stop and go.

Return trip

Just ordered everything... Probably be a couple weeks until install. Do you happen to have the removal instructions for the grill for a 2014? I saw you posted the 2010-2013 version. Also, which hose did you use to drain/flush the transmission cooler - assuming you did a full flush? Thanks!

Actually I did 4 drain and fills.

Top hose is the source from AT and bottom is the return.

I don't have step-by-step for '14+ on grille but hopefully attached instructions help some.

Thanks...that was my fear: remove the whole bumper cover...lol. Not a big deal, just was hoping there was another way.

I previously did a full flush on my 2010 T4R which worked really well (added a B&M Tranny Cooler at that time too)...got all the fluid to bright red and saw immediate temp reduction. Thanks for the great post.

I was out today just running some forest service roads. Quite a few steep, slow and crawl times as well as I needed to cut some brush out of the way to pass. Pan temps never went beyond 201°F on the slow and steep areas. I expected temps to be higher in this scenario. I should have and temps probably would have been lower had I used 4L.

A GXOR member stated he had the AT over-temp light show up driving around off-road. That means his AT hit 302°F and possibly higher.

From FSM:

""ATF temperature is 125°C (257°F) or higher / Lock-up schedule is changed" - "ATF temperature is below 33°C (91°F), or is 110°C (230°F) or higher / Acceleration flex lock-up prohibition control""

I ordered the actual cooler from Megazip as price was too far below what any US parts dealer could compete with. There is a 3rd party OEM unit I have seen for around $90-$100 option so that is an option as well.

For those under a warranty since this is all OEM gear this may allay concerns about warranty issues or I will say hassle. I am aware of Magnusson-Moss act.
Did you have to call to get the 50% off shipping with the Code? did not see this option after putting everything in the cart

It should show the discount when you are at screen where you enter billing/payment info. I just double checked with some misc parts and seems to be working.

From what I have been told 60610 and/or 60620 may be in limited quantity status in US as they are pulling parts from Canada. These are the hoses that connect the cooler to 60290 pass through.
