Default Looking to get a 460 GX orrrrrrrrrrrrr

Like the Toyota Sequoia as well. I am 6'7" with a long Torso so need headroom and leg room

Especially need tilt steering to get by the steering wheel.

Have sat in a 470 and swear it's smaller than the 460 GX. Need 4wd for some fishing / hunting stuff but nothing drastic. Pulling a 300 pound boat and going through a few mudholes

Anyways sounds like there are several threads on hear about water pumps etc but sounds like I can fix most myself if needed

Gm Tahoes and Yukons 2007 -2013 have MAJOR issues with tranny and motors

Jeeps any better on maintenance nowdays?

Probably looking at 2010 to 2013

If head and leg room is your primary concern, and you like the Sequoia, have you considered looking at LX?

I looked at the Sequoia and Land Cruiser, neither had enough headroom or legroom and I'm only 6-4, ended up traded my 17 4Runner for a 19 GX

The Gx has more room than the 4runner right?

They really messed up the head and leg room in the larger vehicles

In my experience it does, despite the official dimensions suggesting otherwise. I'm 6'5", more due to legs than torso, and my head brushes against the ceiling of the 4Runner. My GX fits me much better. It seems like the seat is mounted lower, or is able to be adjusted lower, compared to the 4Runner.

Yup the LC and Sequoia are pretty tight, I was surprised how much more headroom the GX had (although I have the seat all the way down and back) - I really wanted to get a LC but also didn't like the goofy 3rd row setup

Yep that's what I am seeing. The Sequoia and the 570 both have 3 or 4 inches less headroom and the seat is jacked around so you cant get legroom or get in the vehicle without strain between the steering wheel and seat..

The 4runner is a smaller vehicle than the 460GX period

So I am either in a a used 460 GX or a Tundra orrrrrr a damn GM product

Ive had my share of Toyotas: 14 FJ Cruiser, 16 Tundra DC, 17 4Runner. Tooo many blind spots in the FJ, Tundra was a great truck but needed more of a SUV (and they get crappy mpg), 4 Runners are gutless. Pretty happy with my 19 GX

If your into leasing, Tundras are going for silly cheap ($240) while GXs are hovering around the 400 mark.

Buying is a whole another ball game, but interesting that you have it pegged between a midsize SUV and a Full Truck.

It's all about the head and leg room. The bigger Sequoia really has a messed up seat and headroom. Same for the bigger Lexus

I cant get between the seat and steering wheel.

The Tundra and 460GX seem to be the only 2 vehicles I can fir in comfortably in Toyota / Lexus

fair enough. Have you tried any other makes of pickups to see the seating arrangement?
If purchasing, i`d wait until end of July, early august for new, maybe even used.
